Here's a cheap bit of fun for you. SLICE is a phyisics-based puzzle game where you slice up objects and hope for the best.
Disclosure: Key sent to our Steam Curator.
It has an incredibly simple style to it, which works rather well for the cutting mechanic. Each level presents you with floating objects of some sort, pinned to the backgroud leaving you to simply cut and slash through them until pieces of the correct colour fall into a triangle of the same colour. It's a very simple idea, yet it's executed so brilliantly.
While you can complete levels with many slices, each level has a set limit to master the level which enables you to eventually unlock more sets of levels. Some of the actual puzzles are really clever as well and they can really make you think, honestly I'm shocked at how good it is. You might be relying on just gravity, you might need to cut an object so it swings across and cut it mid-air and so on.
The developer said it has a "meditative atmosphere" and they're certainly not wrong. The mix of simple Japanese stringed instrumental backing, along with the delightful (and surprisingly not annoying) tones each time you slice make it almost beautiful.
You can find it on Steam for £0.79/$0.99. For that price, it's pretty great value.
