Need more beat 'em ups on Linux? Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans looks like a pretty safe bet and it's left Early Access.

About the game:

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill in their first virtual adventure. A brand new story! Whether in the Western Saloon, Miami Downtown, at the fairground etc... you'll get the full load of funny conversation, slaps and of course lots of mass brawls.

Slaps And Beans is a co-operative or single player scrolling beat’em up game with the addition of platform elements and mini-games in which you'll interpret the characters of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.

I'm not personally familiar with the works of either of them and looking up the films they are in also didn't really help. Still, you don't need to know the history of people to enjoy a game they're in as this does look like a rather slick side-scrolling beat 'em up.

It really catches the vibe of the movies, original soundtrack, at times challenging gameplay and typical Bud&Terence humour. Recommended!

I'm one of the first backers and follwed the project since the very beginning, i also had a chat with the developer at the "Lucca Comics And Games" in Italy.
The final version offline the game is even better than i imagined, and it's pretty ejoyable in it's own, bit since it's full of referencences from the movies, you should really watch some of them.

Also... The developers had a contact with the actors themselves, they should have made a video to advertize the game, but sadly Bud Spencer died just before the beta version was completed.

This game is also a tribute to him.

Not a big fan of this type of game but I bought it anyway. I used to love their movies when I was a kid and if Netflix bought the rights, then I would stock up on tons of Beer, beans and hotdogs and have myself a whole weekend movie-marathon. :D

They are available on Amazon Prime. At least on the German one (no idea about the other, but I guess there, too as Amazon is quite international).
I even got myself a VPN to watch it from my location.

THANKS!<3

I had no idea any streaming service had picked em up yet. I can even see them for free with the 7 day membership, I think at least one of the titles they have is something that I never saw back in the day.

Now the only question is whether to dive right in or save them for some suitable summer-days. :S:

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill - Movies were a big part of my childhood and still are a big part of my adult live.
Just a week ago I re-watched "Man of the East" (only Terence Hill in this one... also not exactly the type of movie this game is about...) and was filled with joy... just like in the 80s!
And early this year I re-watched "The 5 man army" with Bud Spencer (completely different to the movies the game is based on... very dark and almost no humor) ... and it was the best movie I have watched in years.

Yes, both of them acted in lord of movies in their own.
Terence Hill is actually still pretty active, he is the protagonist in a very successful italian TV serie.
I'm quite sure it was never teansmitted outside Italy, but it's pretty successful there. There are something like 11 seasons, and it's still going on.
