It's a weekend, the sun is shining in a rare event for where I live, so naturally I will be spending my time playing Linux games. What will you be playing this weekend?
Personally, I'm going to be jumping back into Rocket League. Between the intense gameplay and sweet music, it's certainly in my top 10 most played Linux games. As much as I love the game, I'm simply terrible at it. Anyone who's watched some of our livestreams will attest to that fact, but even so I soldier on and keep playing. It truly says something about a game, to keep pulling you back in even when you know you're probably go to have loss after loss.
It always amazes me seeing people drive along the roof of an arena, to then boost through the air with pin-point accuracy and smash the ball right into the goal. I still haven't been able to wrap my head around those sick aerial jumps.
As a reminder, Rocket League and others are available in the The Humble Hooked on Multiplayer 2018 Bundle. I will be looking to setup a few more GamingOnLinux tournaments soon!
After that, likely more Phoenix Point, as they did recently release the Linux version of the backer build! I'm already incredibly impressed with the level of detail and how it feels mechanically. It might blow XCOM 1/2 right out of the water, which for me is a pretty tall order because I absolutely adore both XCOM and XCOM 2. More on that in a future article once I can gather some thoughts on it.
Finally, more time eating people in MachiaVillain, will have thoughts up on that ASAP.
Over to you in the comments!
Going to try The Swapper. I just completed Outland. Would be playing Quake Champions if it was on Linux or if I was on Windows. Oh well... As I said when I changed OS, it's just a game. :)
On a sidenote: is there any interest in forming a guild of (initially) linux users? Run the guild smart with equal importance given to gatherers, crafters and fighters.

Right now, I'm on Hitman. So if I have time this weekend, it's for Hitman.

Is the backer build available through Steam only or is there a direct download available as well?
Me, I'm trying to make some progress in Pillars of Eternity, fighting my way through the Dyrford Ruins dungeons. But the Skaenite are pretty hard to beat when in groups, so I usually get frustrated rather quickly. Other than that I waste my time in Ballistic Overkill.
Quoting: lemoncitronQuoting: XpanderNot much time to play anything on the weekends, but managed to do the Dirt Rally GoL league event and played/gonna play some GTA V wit the help of DXVK. If i have some more time i will try to play more Rise of the Tomb Raider also.
What is your setup for GTAV? once it loads up i cant use the keyboard as it freezes hard for a good 10 seconds with any input, mouse movement is fine though. Is wine-staging required for DXVK with GTAV? currently testing on normal wine 3.8
i have staging yes and 3.7 atm. no such issues for me
Lately it's just a string of poor luck with games for me.
None of the games I want were on significant discount during the current Humble store sale.
Deus Ex: Mankind Devided won't start for me on Ubuntu 18.04 and Feral support was unable to find the cause.
Hitman didn't click for me.
Tried to continue Witcher 2 that I quit years ago, but the game bores me and I can't remember the complicated controls and strats.
150+ games in the library and nothing that I truly want to play.
Quoting: GuestUrgh, nothing!
I'm spending the whole weekend trying to get GPU passthrough working so I can finally play wow with decent performance for once.
I might stop for a break with some Rocket League though.
Let me know if you get that working.
What hardware are you using ?
