It's the start of a new week, you're all fresh faced and ready to go but you need a new game. Here to help with that, here's some great Linux games currently going for under a fiver.
- Tomb Raider - £2.24
- Terraria - £3.49
- Move or Die - £3.62
- Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition - £3.62
- Firewatch - £3.74
- Invisible, Inc. - £3.74
- Mad Max - £3.99
- Assault Android Cactus - £4.39
- Borderlands 2 - £4.99
- Prison Architect - £4.99
- BioShock Infinite - £4.99
Those are all games I consider worth your time, hopefully this helps a few of you sift through the massive pile of sales.
While they're all well known, lots of Valve games are also going incredible cheap, a lot of them are under £1! You can see them in the complete pack here. Rather than linking to each one, just makes it easier.
Lastly, it's not a game but the Steam Link is going for £2.00! I heard you can do some interesting things with them like getting RetroArch on it.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
What interesting things? :)

I recommend one of my pet weird little games Urban Pirate, 75% off it costs 1,50 euros, really nice. The developer is working on his next game DASH which I am following closely, very cool! He has regular dev streams on twitch too, and it will support linux as well.

Quoting: GuppyWhat interesting things? :)Woops, actually meant to finish that sentence :P
I've seen reports of RetroArch on it, which could be fun especially at this price.

So far I've only used this sale to gift a couple of things. I've come to a stage where I actually have to take time to look through all of the stuff to see if there's stuff I still want to buy. Probably a good thing since I already have a lot of stuff I still want to play, but haven't had time for.
Also note that actually getting the Steam Link delivered will cost you more than the Steam Link itself.

Also, you can install Kodi directly on Steam Link to make it into a proper media center. Which makes me want to buy this for my father, even though he does not use Steam…
Damn, a box for retroarch + Kodi for 11 PLN is helluva deal. But for some reason buying Steam Link with the intention of not actually using it with Steam seems somehow wrong to me…
Does anyone know if the Netflix plugin for Kodi works on Steam Link?
EDIT: Hmm, the new Netflix plugin requires Kodi 18, which AFAIK is not yet easily installable on Steam Link. But when it is, as SL is an ARM device, the Raspberry Pi version of the plugin hypothetically would work.

Buying a hundred steam links just to disassemble and get rare earth metals and copper out of it to sell might make a profit with that price! ;)
Edit: or perhaps to build something with? Let's get creative, what could we build out of one hundred steam links? :D One very very long steam link from GoL HQ to my house? :D

Maybe you can get a cluster running like with the RasberryPIs: https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/cluster-computer-raspberry-pi-3/
But IMHO, with the crazy shipping fee (11€ to Germany) they are probably still making a profit on low volume orders...

Regarding the Steam Link - It isn't as good a deal as it seems, because £2 for the item and then £7.40 extra for delivery.
I'm all for hacking hardware, but this device is properly locked down. Yes, you can get Linux running on it, but reboot it and you have to mess around all over again to get chroot-ed Linux back. This is non-ideal for setting it up as a small low-power Linux box (media player, web server, simple desktop for browsing, etc).
Your best option is to forget about this idea, and use a Raspberry Pi instead. The Pi Zero W is similarly cheap (when you factor in the delivery) and isn't locked down.

Quoting: chancho_zombieLiam you are missing a great game although with mixed reviews: Deus Ex Mankind Divided.Yup, quality game too, as always though I have to stop a list somewhere :)
$ 4.49 (US) £ 2.99 (UK) € 4.49 (EU)
I have not played it yet I bought it on the spring sale (for double price) so I cannot comment.

It's only got mixed reviews because some people are entitled idiots who think that they get to dictate every aspect of a game in a series they feel passionately about. Typical toxic fandom.
If you have a powerful PC, but this. It's absolutely excellent.
