It's the start of a new week, you're all fresh faced and ready to go but you need a new game. Here to help with that, here's some great Linux games currently going for under a fiver.
- Tomb Raider - £2.24
- Terraria - £3.49
- Move or Die - £3.62
- Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition - £3.62
- Firewatch - £3.74
- Invisible, Inc. - £3.74
- Mad Max - £3.99
- Assault Android Cactus - £4.39
- Borderlands 2 - £4.99
- Prison Architect - £4.99
- BioShock Infinite - £4.99
Those are all games I consider worth your time, hopefully this helps a few of you sift through the massive pile of sales.
While they're all well known, lots of Valve games are also going incredible cheap, a lot of them are under £1! You can see them in the complete pack here. Rather than linking to each one, just makes it easier.
Lastly, it's not a game but the Steam Link is going for £2.00! I heard you can do some interesting things with them like getting RetroArch on it.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: ageresQuoting: EhvisSolution is to switch to True Vault Hunter Mode so the DLC are back at your character level.Or to start a new game as a different character.
Quoting: Kelsso maybe just getting the base game rather than GOTY is a better idea? It'd certainly be cheaper, and I'm unlikely to play much co-op.The DLC of GOTY edition is too good to miss it.
Fair enough, then. That's what I'll do.

IIRC, the DLCs are all set at level 30 in normal mode. So that's not really an option either.

Quoting: liamdaweA lot of people huh? I've never had an issue starting it and I don't really see any Linux users saying so in the Steam forum and this is the first I've heard of it. Got any links about it?
Well, more than just me ;-)

Quoting: EhvisIIRC, the DLCs are all set at level 30 in normal mode. So that's not really an option either. They are set to different levels, starting at 15, so it's easy to start a new game, level up on first missions and go to DLC. That's what I did. It would have been strange if they were set to the same level, because a player would start one at its recommended level and finish it as too overlevelled for others.

Quoting: buckysrevengeSpecifically, seems like an issue on SteamOS...and we all know how many actually use that (not many). They still should fix that though.Quoting: liamdaweA lot of people huh? Ah, then it must be the Headhunters that are 30.

Well, I got Borderlands 2 GOTY and it runs fine on my system, so that's that. I might restart the game from the beginning though, given that there was stuff going on in the house making a bit of noise so I missed a good chunk of the opening stuff.

I think you should add SOMA ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/282140/SOMA/ ) to the list!... I bought that a couple of days ago. Haven't played it, but being Frictional Games (Penumbra and Amnesia series), it should be pretty awesome and one of the few AA & 1/2 game developers out there that support Linux.

Quoting: PatolaSOMA is great! And what happened to Frictional Games? Long time we don't see new games from them.
I think they are working in 2 games at the same time. They have actually increased their team/resources with the successes they've had with previous games... I follow them in Twitter and they post from time to time updates about their current projects.
They are my second favorite game company after Valve... (the third would be Croteam, probably).
