There's quite a lot of sales and stuff going on right now, so I'm going to cram some into one article to give you an extra scoop with sprinkles and all.
Firstly, head on over to Humble Store to grab a free copy of Shadowrun Returns Deluxe. Note: You do need to be subscribed to their newsletter to get it and it's only going on for 48 hours.
Fanatical are doing a "Red Hot Sale" with tons of good Linux games and if you use the code RED10 they also add another 10% discount for you. It would be worth checking Fanatical for any of the Steam sales when using the extra code, to see if you can save some money, which is why I'm mentioning it before diving into some choice picks.
Of course, the Steam Summer Sale is also on. The Steam store is running pretty slow right now, so do keep that in mind. Here's a few picks from there, games I think you should try:
- Rust - 75% off (we have an active community-run server to join too!)
- The Long Dark - 75% off
- EVERSPACE - 67% off
- Dying Light Enhanced Edition - 67% off
- Tyranny - 66% off
- Oxygen Not Included - 40% off
- Observer - 40% off
- Project Zomboid - 40% off
- Slay the Spire - 37% off
- Streets of Rogue - 34% off
Of course there's so much more, I have to stop a list somewhere that's just ten random picks of games I genuinely like.

Quoting: NovenTheHeroYou can get a Steam Link for $2.50. Insane.Plus $7.99 shipping. Still not a bad price, all things considered.
I would be more tempted if I wasn't currently saving up for a Nintendo Switch.
Tomb Raider 2013
The Long Dark
Dead Cells
Insurgency
Verdun
The Signal from Tolva
GoNNER
Bioshock Infinite
For free. INSANE. I had no clue how much value I had sitting there! I still have lots of keys left also, feels like I wont buy any new games for a LONG time. Thank you nice people on GoL and steamtrades.com (my list there. I even made sure to get humble gifts only so that developers are sure to get their due. Wow.
Overwhelmingly popular too. 2-D Minecraft-style game but lots more depth and content (items, crafting, etc) than Minecraft. I have bought it.
Also, I picked up "For The King" too. And a couple of comments on that - which I'll put on the recent FTK post.
Quoting: g000hNoticing that Terraria is at 50% discount in the Steam Summer Sale. This is pretty much the lowest it has been for 2 years. It is not the sort of game you normally find a good discount on.

I find Terraria to be a lot more fun if you're playing it with people who are used to it than doing it on your own. So if you've got friends who are into it, the game can be all kinds of goofy fun. Dunno if it's really so good at being a single-player experience though.
