The GOG summer sale is now live

By -

It's hot outside, meaning you all want to stay in and play games right? GOG have you covered with their summer sale.

We've once again teamed up with GOG with our own special summer partner page, where I've personally hand-picked some Linux games that are now on sale that I think you might be interested in. We may even be doing another giveaway with GOG later in the week, so stay tuned for that!

If you would rather ignore my picks and head right on over to see all their Linux games on sale, click here. There's a good few hundred Linux games on sale, so you're likely to find something interesting.

Also, Xenonauts is currently going for free for 48 hours, well worth a look if you're a fan of XCOM-like strategy games. You can also bag a copy of Sunless Sea once you spend a small amount too.

Finally, it might be worth taking a look at GOG Connect again to see if you can bring over any more games from Steam to get a copy on GOG free too—handy! Looks like a few good titles going right now like Prison Architect, FTL, Hotline Miami 2 and more.

Before anyone asks, there's no update on GOG Galaxy.

Quoting: Whitewolfe80Really quick question does the saboteur work with a controller from your script, 3rd person shooters are not that much fun on mouse and keyboard for me.

I've never tried before, but I quickly checked with an X360 controller just now and the game didn't recognise it. It might be possible to get it working with some tweaking but it's not something I have any experience with as I almost exclusively use kb+m.

No worries thanks for the reply if i get it working i will put up what i did for anyone else that wants it
edit right changed some wine dependcies added xinput buttons worked sticks did not however used the guide over on boiling steam now have controller working perfectly. Thank you for the script.

Personally, I am diametrically opposed to your game play preference. For me, I use a gamepad or joystick for driving games, platformers, or fighters. But I'd never ever want to touch such controls for a 3D shooter like DOOM, Xonotic, Painkiller, Serious Sam or a 3D RPG like Witcher 2, Deus Ex, Shadow of Mordor, Mad Max, etc.

Thanks a bunch, Adamhm :) I hadn't played F.E.-- er, Fear in ages. And now I can play with Kb+M, previously only played the console version. I also never got to try the sequel, so my week's been filled out :B

(For anyone interested, I've had success with the Mmod for Fear, for those wanting to crank up the experience :))

Considering Wine, Mafia is on good sale now. For the GOG version you also need to get the missing soundtrack though.

Well horses for courses personally mad max is a driving game with action combat so controller anything 3rd person controller so Tomb raider etc basically anything that was built for a console I play on a controller. When it comes to fps games always mouse and keyboard same with flight games, rts games etc
