The cheap and fun FPS Ballistic Overkill is set to get another update and it sounds like it could be quite a good one.

It was updated again recently, adding in more female skins for the different classes that are available and it appears support for the game is set to continue. Here's what the developer teased everyone with:

Hey soldiers!

It's time to muster the troops -  Ballistic Overkill is gearing up for a major new update. Are you ready for an all new game mode? That's right soldiers, a totally new gameplay mode. Add in more new skins and a slew of gameplay enhancements and this will become our biggest and most exciting update yet.

Stay tuned for further announcements!

I'm very curious to know what they will add in. It already has deathmatch, team deathmatch, king of the hill and capture points. It could be capture the flag, last man standing or perhaps they're going even further with a Battle Royale mode. Who knows, but I will be keeping watch!

We've enjoyed a great many hours in this one and our weekly games are starting up again! Be sure to follow us on Twitch to know when to join in! You can find it on Humble Store and Steam

My main issue with this game is the lack of support class. I know that it is intended this way, but I miss a game like Palladins or overwatch on Linux.

Honestly, it could probably do without the health packs on maps and having an actual support class to do it.

I think you should have a look on that old trello post I found a long time ago.
I asked them about it in a discussion on steam before about a year, and they said that it's not their main goal back then.
So far, this website shows almost every single update that ever came out, way before it did, so I think it might be correct this time.

Oh, now that's interesting. A smaller mode, where you each have to pick a unique class - sounds good and should make games quite varied instead of three invisible ninjas running around :P

Ahh Ninja are easy to take out once you know what to look for also and you may not like doing it you have to role a shotgun its the quickest way to gun them down before they reach you.

Jokes aside it was great rediscover this little game! Do you know what bonus we get at high levels in the classes (levels>20)?
