It's good to see it finally out, one I honestly lost track of completely because it felt like it was going to be pushed back forever. Here we are though, years later and it actually has Linux support right from the get-go so that's awesome.

Thanks to our friends at GOG, we were sent over a key to give it a quick run and it seems to work really nicely. Although, my first playthrough lasted all of about 5 minutes before I was thrown in jail and sent back to the main menu, which felt really quite abrupt and odd. Even during that time, the dialogue was filled full of puns. I do appreciate a good pun, it speaks to my inner child.

If you're interested in picking it up, it's available on GOG and Steam.

Still waiting for my backer key from GOG, hopefully it’s sorted soon and I can give it a go.

Quoting: PatolaSeems a very nice game. How long is the gameplay?

From reviews I've seen on Steam, it appears to have roughly 30 to 40 hours of gameplay. With multiple endings and a time table to stick to, it heavily encourages multiple playthroughs to see everything.

I'm getting all kinds of mixed signals from that trailer, but most of them aren't positive, and it doesn't look like a half-a-million-dollar project compared to others I've seen launch with less than 100K. With that and the development time, I just have to peek at the recent KS comments.

Quoting: Corey Cole on October 4, 2017As for funding, we've been out of funds for two years. Everything since then has come out of loans, and Lori's and my retirement accounts. It's safe to say at this point that we've personally spent as much on this project as we received from both Kickstarter campaigns.

Ah, so it's one of those projects. Pretty crazy. Good luck to them for recovering that investment.

It looks like both of those Kickstarter campaigns didn't reach the stretch goal for voice acting, so is there really no voice acting in the game of that budget?

Seems I got lucky then. Had it yesterday shortly before midnight. You can imagine that getting up and going to work was really painful this morning.

Then you'd better avert your eyes during the intro movie. Once in the game proper, the graphics are okay and it feels pretty polished to me, though. I've got to play some more before being able to give an informed opinion, but so far I like what I'm seeing. No bad choice if you're into narrative games. And obvious bonus points for being DRM free and for 1st day Linux support.

Heh, that's classic Quest for Glory / Sierra style failure approach :)

I bought the game on GOG with nearly full price. I hope the best for them.
