How is Yooka-Laylee? It seems right up my alley but I remember seeing some negative reviews on launch.

How could you leave out oddworld in that list? how could you? :(
Unsure how it is now, but last time I tried gamepad support on Linux was awful which ends up being a deal-breaker for me in such games. They did numerous updates to it though, so it's likely improved but didn't have time to test.

I had the same problem the first time I tried, but I gave it another go and completed the game around Christmas last year. I don't recall having trouble with the controls this time. Fun platformer, if you can handle a bit of trial and error. Well worth the sale price.

Good to hear, I noticed it in my original release post on it and still recommended it for keyboard controls. Glad to hear it seems to work now with gamepads though :)

Pixel Perfect Platformer Game Sale

Man, what a letdown. I really thought they meant "Pixel Perfect Graphics". But it just seems to be an arbitrary catch phrase with the word "pixel" in it. But at least they didn't call it the "rogue like sale".

Might pick up Grow Home, stupidly cheap and looks like a fun time.
I liked Grow Home a lot. It is very weird and the controls take a while to get used to, but it has a charming style and I grew to enjoy exploring the world. I recommend it for anyone who wants to try something different.

The Linux Programming Interface is a classic! If you like low level programming, this book is the bible for Linux devs. Paying just 30 usd for that book is an excellent deal!
