The weekend has arrived and for many of you this is likely your best time to boot up your favourite game, so what are you all playing?
The weather over here has turned for the worst, we've gone from ridiculous heat to stormy showers and so the majority of my time will likely be staring at a brightly lit screen. Naturally, that means I will be playing some awesome Linux games.
I'm likely going to be throwing out my usual experiences for something a little different—ah who I am kidding? I'm totally going to be jumping in at the deep end with Oxygen Not Included's latest update. Such an insanely engrossing game, multiple times I've loaded it up and time just gets sucked away into a black hole.
So my awesome readers, what are you clicking on this weekend?
I also just got a rabbit, so a lot of my time will be staring at it going "It's so fluffy!". I'm also 30 on Monday, so I won't be around much then for gaming.
This is also my first experience with Lutris + DXVK and I have to admit, everything runs perfectly. 1440p resolution, everything on ultra and I get 70/130 min/max fps, with the average around ~90. Absolutely amazing!
Quoting: callciferMass Effect: Andromeda. I've been holding off on this due to horrendous first impressions from people whose opinion I respect, but out of sheer boredom (and longing for the original trilogy) I've decided to give it a shot. 4-5 hours in, the game is... ok, I guess. It doesn't have that Mass Effect soul but it's not completely horrible either.
It's nowhere as bad as people made it out to be (and I'm saying this as one of the rioters in the aftermath of ME3); I'm glad it runs well under wine.
I was also trying to finally give a try to Baldur's Gate, but after beating Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny, BG seems to be little bit too archaic...
Quoting: GuestThis weekend i am replaying Witcher 3 for the 3rd time, first time on Linux, with Wine 3.13 and DXVK 0.63. I have to say, it runs pretty well all things considered. Speed is almost on par with Windows. Color me impressed.
Yeah I've been playing Witcher 3 as well. Thanks DXVK! Sure there are a few little things that don't display correctly, but sometimes its amusing.

The story is rather nonsensical, but i haven't liked any of the stories since the original ME. Both ME2 and 3 had big plot holes. ME3 made all the choices you made earlier pretty much inconsequential just to shorten development time. EA sucks

I bought an adapter PS2 -> USB and my Guitar Hero 2 Controller works in both games!
For FoFiX, when I play the notes in-game I don't hear any sound (but the voices and others instruments are fine, weird), but the guitar.ogg file works fine in an audio player...
And the same files works without issues in Clone Hero...
I have many Guitar Hero Games on PS2, so I will try to get all the songs.
Err wrong post :P or maybe not :D
More later news
