What are you playing this weekend?

By -

The weekend has arrived and for many of you this is likely your best time to boot up your favourite game, so what are you all playing?

The weather over here has turned for the worst, we've gone from ridiculous heat to stormy showers and so the majority of my time will likely be staring at a brightly lit screen. Naturally, that means I will be playing some awesome Linux games.

I'm likely going to be throwing out my usual experiences for something a little different—ah who I am kidding? I'm totally going to be jumping in at the deep end with Oxygen Not Included's latest update. Such an insanely engrossing game, multiple times I've loaded it up and time just gets sucked away into a black hole.

So my awesome readers, what are you clicking on this weekend?

I also just got a rabbit, so a lot of my time will be staring at it going "It's so fluffy!". I'm also 30 on Monday, so I won't be around much then for gaming.

Quoting: GuestLast weekend i was replaying Witcher 2. First time on Linux, i have to say that the port ran excellently for me, on AMDGPU. I don't understand why people said that the port wasn't good.

It was fixed pretty quickly, so whoever said it wasn't good were talking about early release.

Quoting: GuestThis weekend i am replaying Witcher 3 for the 3rd time, first time on Linux, with Wine 3.13 and DXVK 0.63. I have to say, it runs pretty well all things considered.

Soon there might be a workaround for the last remaining issues. See here.

I've been playing three games over the past month:

* Doom: The Golden Souls 2
* Morrowind (using OpenMW with the "Vibrant Morrowind" and "Vurt's Groundcover" mods)
* Turok

CS:GO, because AWP flickshots and AK47 headshots are quite addictive! Also, the prime system looks like it worked. I found good teammates and no one yelling on the microphone

Oxygen not included - i usually only have time on Sunday evenings for gaming as my little girl and little boy keeping me busy.

The last three content updates imho made an already good game to a great game.

I want to reach the surface and try out those solar panels.

However, before I have to figure out how to use steam geysers correctly without overheating the base. Secondly I need to learn how to use steam to clean polluted water.
