Developer Ghost Town Games along with publisher Team17 have today released the chaotic co-op cooking game Overcooked! 2.

As expected, this sequel comes with same-day Linux support which is especially nice since the first game wasn't on Linux.

About the game:

Overcooked 2 is a chaotic co-op cooking game for 1-4 players in which you must serve a variety of recipes including sushi, pasta, cakes, burgers and burritos to hungry customers in a series of unconventional kitchens. Whether it be a hot air balloon, a magical Wizard’s school or even another planet, you’ll have to be bready for anything. Work solo or with up to three friends to prep orders while overcoming obstacles such as fire, collapsing floors, overbearing waiters and of course, the classic kitchen problem of floating work surfaces.

Seems like a rather nice game, especially with online multiplayer support opening it up to a much wider audience. From what I've seen elsewhere, it's getting some pretty glowing reviews so it looks like it might be worth your monies.

As I understand it, there's quite a few new features in this version apart from online gameplay. With dynamic levels, a new throwing mechanic, an interactive world map, new recipes and chefs and so on.

You can find it on: Humble Store and Steam. We may have our own thoughts up in future, we're waiting to hear back about a review copy.

Was looking forward to this. Playing Overcooked 1 was already so cool and funny, now having Overcooked 2 with native Linux support... awesome! Bought!

A GOG version could be possible?
I never played the first one, but it looks indeed funny.
