Good stuff from Daedalic Entertainment here as they've released State of Mind today with full Linux support. This Unreal Engine powered adventure game will see you explore a world on edge, as natural resources are running low, crime is on the rise and there's a lot of pullution in the air and water.

Sadly, we haven't yet heard back about a review key. I've sent additional emails today to find out if we're getting one. Update: I've now been sent a key.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
I'm about three hours into it now - superb presentation, very story-driven. Object interaction is a little bit hit-or-miss, but voice acting is top-drawer and the atmosphere is off the charts. Enjoying it immensely.

Update: I've now been sent a key. Although it was invalid, so I'm waiting for another.

Didn't know about the Linux version! Very nice! I'll take a look at this.
I bet in the year 2048 it will be even more so, but it is sadly already true today. :/

Quoting: GuestIs it possible to switch to a first person view? I hate this kind of offset third person camera, makes it hard to move/target things, on top of course of the character hiding a quarter of the screen.
Sadly, no. Not that I have found. And yes, the targeting is a bit negatively impacted by exactly that problem. It's not gotten in the way too much though. As a style choice, I get why they went over-the-shoulder, but like you, I prefer first-person for all such games.

They're really supportive there and maybe now they have time to look into my patches for their first Edna and Harvey installment to maks it run on Linux natively (they told me they had something "big" to release first) :p

Quoting: LeonardKThey will release a remastered version of the first Edna in 2019 that will support Linux. They've announced that on their official discord.Quoting: Doc AngeloDidn't know about the Linux version! Very nice! I'll take a look at this.

Quoting: GuestI'll wait a couple days for reviews to say it's not horribly broken, and then it's looking very much like I'll soon have another game to play (probably via GOG, which is nice). Then just to find time to play it.
Rock solid 60 FPS with Mesa + AMDGPU on my side. Everything on Epic (of course, I have an RX580, kinda what I expected).
Couldn't find any problem so far.

From what I understand there is no combat in this game?
