Most racing games have you in the latest, greatest and most shiny vehicles possible, not so with Fast Dust. Instead, you will be able to choose from 10 unique vehicles that are all a bit beaten up.
You will race across 70 possible tracks with varying terrain. It will have weather effects, day and night races along with multiple different game modes. It has a single-player campaign, with upgrades you can unlock for your vehicles as you progress. It will also support online multiplayer for up to 7 people.
I asked the developer about Linux support, to which they replied with:
Yes, of course there will be Linux support. Probably within two or three months.
Launch trailer is below:
Direct Link
It's going to release on Steam on August 22nd, so keep an eye out for the later Linux release.
Quoting: XpanderLooks quite cheap if you ask me. No suspension animations, handling seems super arcade also and not in a good way like say Flatout 2. Looks more like some mobile game. Somehow i smell "MadOut" in this. Which is fine i guess if the price is fair
It does look basic, right? I'm still holding out for Drag, but I haven't heard anything for ages - it's been over 6 months when it was "coming soon". Did I miss a release announcement?

Music to my ears. Let's hope this kind of attitude is a new normal amongst the game developers!
Shame shame shame on those who live in the dark ages of the past and only develop for Microshaft Spydows
But the rest of the game looks kinda empty, unfinished. No idea what engine it uses, but it has that very old "Unity" look, with plain textures and minimal environment details.
(yes, I'm aware how good Unity can look in good developers hands)
