The "Temporal Cold War" was the plot for 13 episodes. Some of them were double episodes. I'd say that it definitely played a bigger role in ENT.

As a kid, I enjoyed TNG, DS9 and VOY. Returning to the series nearly two decades later, TNG turned out to be even better than I remembered. I enjoyed it massively. DS9 and VOY however left my quite cold. I stopped DS9 after two seasons, and VOY after a couple episodes.

It's always interesting to see how different each show is and how they are seen by Trek fans.

Discovery would have been far better if they'd done it sometime in the future after Voyager. Or they'd done what I'd read rumors of long before Chris Pine was playing Kirk, and that was there was going to be a movie/series taking place during the Romulan war. But that hasn't happened yet.

Enterprise is one of my favorites because they (for the first time) brought back the old aliens from the Original Series. Jeffrey Combs as an Andorian? Sign me up!

Voyager and TNG are relatively alike in that they focus on the "adventures" of one ship around space and the characters on that ship, which are (almost) entirely Starfleet.
I think most prefer TNG between those two (as I do, but I don't dislike Voyager either).

DS9 is very different, and as I think, at least occasionally more interesting.
Instead of focusing on a limited crew in a changing environment, it focuses on a set environment and different cultures, races, politics, intrigues, etc. within that environment in times of strife.
DS9 gives you a much better feeling of what living in that world actually means for the common people, and goes way deeper into different racial cultures than TNG or Voyager do - as those (almost) only focus on the absolute elite, Starfleet.

Of course, which focus one likes more is different. I might be torn between DS9 and TNG as I am by nature not a very... "lawful" person and thus more interested in grey areas.
On the other hand, no captain comes close to Picard and Sisko is arguably just not the most interesting person (lacks edges).
In the end, I think I like the basic idea of DS9 more, while I prefer the actual execution of TNG.

Enterprise was good but season 3 killed it. The whole doom and gloom kills Star Trek. The whole message from TOS was technology will push us into a peaceful future.
I loved TNG because it was the first I saw.
Deep Space was ok , but i disliked some of the themes. It felt more political rather than exploring space and the new frontier.
Voyager was ok but I disliked their captain. They tried to make her a strong leader but she always played too soft for me. Wanted to see more of her teeth. Loved the Klingon girl and Seven-of-Nine.
Have not seen Discovery yet.

TNG's probably my least favourite Trek (not a massive Trek fan at all, truth be told*; TOS FTW though), but that is freakin' awesome.

Love the holodecks and the easter eggs. The one in Engineering is hilarious!

*I did once have a girlfriend** who knew every episode by heart. I'd be talking about “You know, that one where they...”, and she'd say, “Yeah, [whatever],” and proceed to outline the entire plot. Hey, I thought it was cute. I may not be a fan, but I'm still a nerd. And, as such, appreciate nerdiness in others. :)

It will be interesting if they manage to get the ship moving, being able to warp around to different systems and do away missions. Not a bad effort, hopefully copyright trolls don't sink it.

Interesting, I actually like the most seasons 3 and 4 in Enterprise, they got the ideas really flowing. I remember being almost bored by season 1 while season 2 was the most Trek-ish.
But seasons 3/4 got me really excited, I very much agree that it felt less Star Trek at that point, but the action was really good and it kept me on the edge of the seat.
When I heard about the cancellation I was in disbelief, why then, when it started to kick ass?

Voyager, indeed, the prize for the most annoying Star Trek captain goes to....

DS9, sigh... all that religious and political crap annoyed me to no end, must confess that I was going fast forward through all that. As for characters, I think that Garak (the Cardassian tailor) was the most fascinating one. Oh, and Odo.

Just curious if it's the Linux build, or just me but...
1) While I can press buttons in the menu at start up, I cannot do so with the pop-up menu in the game itself. To actually quit the game, I had to actually bring up the console (ahhh, the tilde key... joy!) and enter "quit" to exit the game without killing it.
2) Whenever I left-clicked with the mouse (whether on an intractable element or not), my character would turn ~90 degrees suddenly (kinda like how one might turn in a VR game). To be able to interact with anything, I had to left-click-hold (which jumped the camera 90 degrees) then look back at what I want to interact with, then let go of the mouse button.

Is this just me?

The theory is that the political and religious crap was injected because it was stolen from Babylon 5, which had been proposed to the studio, but then DS9 appeared with similar plot lines. But to be fair to DS9, a lot of weird things got into the Original Series of Trek, so it kind of fit as well into DS9. My problem was they started out with it in the first season... then pretty much didn't go much of anywhere with it.
