For those who have completed the game and also for those struggling with the difficulty, there's two new modes available to satisfy both.

Firstly, if you're finding it too difficult there's a new more relaxed mode, allowing you to play the game at your own pace and enjoy the story a little more. You can now pick your difficulty when starting a new game.

If you've completed the game, you can now go through a Boss Rush game mode as you battle against increasingly difficult bosses.

Easily one of my favourite adventure platformers to be released with Linux support. You can see my original thoughts here.

Grab it now from Humble Store, GOG and Steam.

But is the lore finally explained better? :P
As enjoyable as this game was/is, I didn't understand the story. And for once, I didn't seem to be the only one.

Good news for the updates!

I actually liked the way the lore was presented. Some of it your were told explicitly, some more you could piece together, and then some you were a bit at a loss. I thought it placed the player in the same position as the characters, as no single one seems to know all of it. Keeping some mysteries added to this feeling in my opinion, and made my mind race while playing.
Awesome. I really enjoyed this game.

I feel like I have been living in the reborn golden age of metroidvanias. I just hope that the curse of the rogue doesn't bring it all crashing down! (just joking)

Awesome game. I have 100% but I still think that I'm missing things.
