Need to hide a few bodies? Graveyard Keeper is now available for Linux on GOG after being missed at the release.

It was actually added a day or so after the initial release. Sometimes the Linux version is missing when a game is released on GOG, as the Linux team at GOG discover issues in it. The game did indeed have some pressing issues at release, a fair few have been fixed now so it is quite a bit better.

About the game:

Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time. Build and manage your own graveyard, and expand into other ventures, while finding shortcuts to cut costs. Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business. And it’s also a love story.

I've not made it far enough to form a true opinion on it, but for the time I have spent in it I've been enjoying it. There is a bit of a grind to it, but it's not the kind that frustrates you. I've quite liked the exploring, crafting and talking to my little skull friend. They do certainly need to work on performance though, the stuttering has been quite annoying.

So now you can pick it up on GOG if you were holding out for it. Otherwise, Humble Store and Steam.

First I've heard of this game. :) Those animations are on point. Definitely one for the wishlist. :)

You're right, but this is an update for anyone that missed it as it was not available on the release day.

Although, one probably should be warned that the developer seems to have a history of not supporting their GOG releases. :(

And at the moment the game has other problems besides the stuttering – it might not start if a controller is connected; crashed on me once when Steam notified me of a new trading card; and the save after the first night – just before a dialogue with an NPC cut-scene – when loaded again skips the cut-scene (even though the state was supposedly saved before it).

It does look fun nevertheless. I hope they do sort out the remaining annoying bugs, and that they are going to update the GOG release too (even though I bought mine on Steam already).

With the GOG version?

I did not test the GOG version, I don’t have it. I’ve seen the crash-at-startup with controller thing on a Steam version, so the GOG one might be different.

Unfortunately it's not the first game/dev with this issue. But damn, why GOG "allow" that?
GOG is known for being demanding on some aspects but this kind of behavior (no respect at all for GOG customers, who BUY their game) should be prohibited.

If they (the devs) think DRM-free releases profits to piracy, they should ask themselves if people could pirate their game BECAUSE they don't update it... Actually THEIR behavior profits to piracy. :><:

I bought the GOG version, I hope it will be updated periodically.

PS: Don't forget devs/publishers/etc nearly EVERY game is pirated on Steam! Pirates don't need GOG or whatever DRM-free store to do that...
