If you after some more cheap Linux games or something to try with Steam Play, Humble have added even more games to their Summer Sale.

After browsing it for an hour or two, I've come up with a fresh list of games that I think are worth taking a look at:

If you wish to try out Valve's Steam Play, which enables you to try Windows games on Linux then it might be worth knowing from their whitelisted games that DOOM is 50% off and also Into The Breach has 20% off.

Also, don't forget to check out the The Humble Unity Bundle which has six Linux native games.

Borderlands 2 GOTY + All DLCs + Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with 91% off. Amazing.
That's actually a pretty amazing deal too :)

And it being a Steam bundle, you can use it to complete your BL2/BLTPS collection as well.

Already have everything. Talk about first world problems.

Ziggurat's a bit of a hidden gem. Well worth that price, anyway.

And it being a Steam bundle, you can use it to complete your BL2/BLTPS collection as well.
Heh. Apparently I'd “only” save 30 GBP. And actually, very nearly all of the content I don't have is stuff I don't really want (character and costume packs mainly). Tempting, even so. The completionist in me is like, “Yay!” (Spot the reference. :) )

I played 175 hours of Gaige. :D

Having played so many hours of these, I felt duty-bound to spend the additional $8 to get all the remaining DLC, if only to support Aspyr. Also bought some DLC for a friend so we can play together :-)

I have to say that all the Borderlands games have a huge amount of replayability, without needing any "procedural generation" stuff.

Edit: Just because it needs saying again - If anyone out there has not played "Assault on Dragon Keep," go do it right now.

Still waiting for:

Into The Breach - native Linux version

Skyrim is 50% off I think I saw in an email today. That's playing well with Proton isn't it? I might have to see what all the fuss is about.

I suppose it does still have procedural guns.

Thanks, grabbed Planetary Annihilation and Prison Architect.

Only the Special Edition is 50% off and that one does not play that well with Proton.

Interesting, it looks like the euro price hiked from 19.99 ($1=€1) to 29.99 [a whooping 75% more than the USD price] for no apparent reason in december 2015, according to steamDB: https://steamdb.info/app/49520/ That, plus the fact that 90% of what I don't own is cosmetic DLC, will make me pass on this one.

BTW, it's 81% off, but some special offers stack, so 91% if you don't own anything yet. Much less appealing to me for now.
Well, if the bundle stays around, I might buy it in the future, of course ;)

Well I feel bad buying a Proton (rather say that than Windows! And I did use the GOL supporting link of course) only game but just had to get Doom as it was half price. Should be able to try it in a few days as it's a mere 59.5 GB download

Off topic... which game is the record holder for biggest download?

Skyrim special edition under proton works fine for me, but it does require a winetricks patch to fix the audio. I'm on SteamOs with GTX1070.

Yikes. That puts me off recent AAA games almost as much as price or compatibility worries.

Haha! You are right, of course. I guess I am more concerned with games replacing good story and well-crafted worlds with procedural generation. Heck, I enjoyed Steamworld Heist and the levels are generated fresh each time. However, that doesn't take away from the strong story and sense of progression.

Only 59.8 GB ? For me Doom has whooping 73.8 GB. Out of that, 47.9 being virtual textures.

It turns out it's 68.7 GB "on disk"! Things have changed slightly since my Commodore 64 days :D
