It's Sunday, I have still a ridiculous cold so I feel quite poorly. Here's a run over some Linux games on sale, some other random things along with a question to you.
First up, a quick run over some Linux stuff on sale:
- There's two days left on the The Humble One Special Day Bundle, which has: Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition and OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood along with some Windows games that work in Steam Play
- Humble Monthly is still going with Overwatch (very playable with DXVK), Dungeons 3 (which just got a new fancy DLC) and Hidden Folks which is pretty hilarious.
- The Humble Aspyr Media sale also has about a day left with some tasty Linux treats
- Humble also have the Humble Book Bundle: Learn You Some Code book bundle for you programmer types
- GOG also have a Weekend Sale with a few nice games like: Ultimate General: Gettysburg, Race the Sun and a few more (ends tonight!)
- If you wanted a good test-case for Steam Play, NieR:Automata is 50% off on Steam until October 2nd. If you're looking for user reports on other Steam Play games, check out the Steam Play Compatibility Reports site.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent recently gained a "Hard Mode" for those of you who love to be scared while also have the difficulty turned up somewhat. It will disable auto-saves, make saved games cost you "4 tinderboxes", kill you when you sanity hits zero, reduce the amount of oil and tinderboxes, make monsters a lot more menacing and no longer warn you about them with musical cues. Find it on GOG, Humble (DRM free + Steam key) and Steam.
The deep-sea exploration RPG Diluvion recently got upgraded into the Diluvion: Resubmerged edition. Sadly, the new edition is not yet on Linux. They're working on it, but they need to solve some plugin licensing issues first (see here).
It's going to be interesting to see what Feral Interactive have in store for us this week. They teased on their social networks that they would have "Big things" to talk about on Thursday. Although, Total War: THREE KINGDOMS was then announced that same day (seemingly a little early) so perhaps it won't be as big.
8-Bit Commando gained a Linux version on Steam. The developer sent a key to our Steam Curator, but honestly it was a little too retro for my tastes. Apparently it's similar to Contra, so some of you might enjoy it.
Nick from Croaking Kero also emailed in, to let us know that they're releasing "Bob Ross - Sliding Paintings Museum" on October 29th to celebrate Bob Ross's birthday. This open source game will have you solve sliding puzzles of his paintings. You can check it out and follow it on the Game Jolt page.
The developer of Dakar 18, a cross-country rally game has stated that a Linux version is on their todo list. We could do with a few more nice racing games, so do let them know if you're interested in it.
As for the burning question: What have you been playing this week and what do you think about it?
Personally, I've put a number of hours into Rocket League this week. I'm still desperately trying to learn all those super fancy tricks in the air. I'm failing miserably, of course, but I did manage to score a pretty immense goal jumping off the side so that's something. I've also been driving on the roof a lot…
For those of you who bothered to read this far, here's a few Steam keys for Throne of Lies (will have more to give away next week):

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTQuoting: LeerdeckI'm a little interested in Nier: Automata but I fear that my graphic card (Nvidia GTX 650 Ti BOOST) isn't powerful enough for a smooth experience...
I should probably wait until I get a better card. Thinking seriously about switching to a AMD card for the first time... I heard now from many people that the performance got a lot better. Don't want to buy a too expansive card so maybe a RX560 with 4GB?
Didn't you want to make a step-up? RX 570 4 GB is only 170 € now when finding some good sale. I would not go below that.
Hmm you are probably right. The cheapest RX570 are around 180€ here. That doesn't cost that much more than a 560. Will probably buy a ASUS or Saphire model. Heard bad things about Gigabyte.
