A week doesn't go by without some sort of big sale going on lately, this time it's Humble again teaming up with Paradox Interactive for a weekend sale.

You can find some top deals like:

There's other games plus assorted DLC also available. Probably a good time to complete your Paradox collection!

On top of that there's a few other treats as well like Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration being 75% off, Life Is Strange: Before The Storm with 50% off and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has 85% off since there's also a Square Enix sale on too.

See the full sale here.

I might use this to pick up some discounted DLC and give Stellaris and Cities Skylines another go.

I fell behind on DLC with CK2 and EU4, and after hundreds of hours on each over the years, I think I'm calling it a day there. Haven't really played the more recent ones I bought so just need to be honest with myself and realise I'm throwing money away.

Does anyone else here suffer from poor performance on EU4 / CK2? On Windows I could run them at max game speed with good fps (at least for the first few hundred years) just fine, but on my Ubuntu 18.04 installs they really chug by comparison, even just running 2 or 3x gamespeed can get kinda choppy. Is there a fix or workaround for this?

Thanks!

Also just to make sure as many people hear about it as possible: GOG are currently giving away Shadow Warrior 2 for the next ~42ish hours.

It's a shame that a native Linux version never happened (I'd have bought it long ago if it did), but now thanks to their giveaway I've made a Wine wrapper for it :)

I may buy an extension for cities skylines, but unsure which. Are mass transit and green cities any good?

I haven't noticed any performance issues (although, to be fair, I don't have anything to compare with), but CK2 has always had problems with graphics quality for me. It's particularly noticeable on the map text.

Quoting: GuestYuck. So I had a look at the humble page. Now they have removed any sign of what systems are supported on the overview page. You'd have to go to every single games page to check. WTF....
I've emailed Humble to ask if they can put the OS icons on future special sales like this going forward. Hopefully they will, it would actually help them sell more after all. No sense hiding info people want to see to buy stuff.

I see Just Cause 3 is in the Square Enix sale for silly money. I loved the first two games, but while the Wine AppDB gives it a “silver”, spcr.netlify.com says it's “Borked”.

Anyone have any experience they can offer? At under 3GBP, I'm tempted to give it a punt anyway, but I don't want to waste my cash on something that'll never work due to DRM or similar...
