Minecraft continues turning into a bigger and more interesting game with each new release and it seems that will be massively true for the 1.14 'Village & Pillage' update which sounds huge.
What's new? Well, quite a lot! Here's a picture to give you a little bit of an idea:
They've added:
- Added Bamboo Blocks into the game
- Added Bamboo Jungles in the world
- Rewrote the book & quill editing to be more intuitive
- Added Crossbows!
- Added lots of new decorative blocks!
- Added new dyes and flowers!
- Added some community suggestions
- Added in-game buttons for reporting bugs or giving feedback
- Added Illager Beast
- Added Loom into the game
- Special banner patterns can now be crafted into a new item, Banner Patterns
- We're now using the new textures!
- Added pandas!
- Added pillagers
- Added suspicious stew - hmmmm!
- New Light engine!
- And absolutely loads more
Minecraft is a vastly different game to when I used to play it religiously, there's so much more variation in the world and the creatures that actually makes it quite enticing to play again. I think when 1.14 is officially out, I'm going to have to do some real exploring.
Performance in this snapshot didn't seem very good, lots of stuttering when exploring which I've no doubt will be fixed up shortly.

A dude needs to eat, man.
Anyways I only play minecraft on mobile. I'm simply afraid of sitting down in front of the computer because I would never get up lol...
It drains the battery then I have to put it down.

If you like Minecraft, you should watch "Vintage Story". I'm playing it this month, and it's really nice. It offers some similarities of course, but more depth, more survival, slower progression, different features. I didn't feel addict to a game like this since Minecraft-pre-success (it was still in alpha i think when i played last time, before the big boom).

I'd never heard of Vintage Story. Fully brand new engine, cross platform, fully-realised game world. Looks pretty goddam amazing. And only 10 pounds/euros... very enticing. I might have to dip into this a bit.

So there is! It's not like me to not read literally every single article on this site... but October has been pretty challenging for me - lots of personal stuff going on (mostly good - birthdays and suchlike) and I've overlooked this one.
