The developer Spawn Point OSK has announced today that Gerty, their surprisingly impressive top-down rogue-lite shooter is going into Early Access on December 3rd, 2018.

Here's what the developer said about the news:

"To us, early access presents an opportunity to gather feedback from a much larger group of gamers than has been possible before,” explains the project lead Risto Ihalainen. “We have always carefully listened to our fans and our testers and without their feedback Gerty would not be as awesome as it is today.”

“October 1st is the fourth anniversary of the project kickoff. Our small but dedicated team is excited to finally unleash the game on rogue-lite fans,” Risto adds.

As a reminder, it has a fully working demo available right now on Steam and when I tested the game out last month, I was left very impressed with it. I'm quite excited to see how they improve and expand upon it once it arrives. The destructible environment definitely makes it an interesting one.

It will be available from the Humble Store (DRM free plus a Steam key) and Steam.

Huh, I was just watching Hex's video where he plays the demo. Still some stuff to work on, but it looks like a solid start.

The demo is working fine but I have a big issue with my 360 game-pad.
I can't shoot normal weapon and so was only playing with flamethrower...
Even if I set manually the trigger to shoot it will not shoot where I look.
Any idea?

Most likely this is a driver issue.

On windows side, xbox 360 controller triggers share an axis on default microsoft drivers. Meaning that one trigger is -1 on that axis and the other one is +1.

Without custom drivers on windows, pressing both triggers would return 0 and the playing character won't shoot. Most likely unity input is only getting positive or negative values from the triggers, when it should be getting -1 and +1 from respective triggers.

I don't have enough experience on Linux to help any further than this. Hopefully you can resolve the issue.
