The next big Steam sale dates have been leaked, as usual

Absolutely. That I can now (easily) play more of the types of games I really enjoy (1st and 3rd person exploro-shooter open-world action thingies) because of Proton means: Yay! I can play more games that I wanna play! I want to play games and I want to play them on my beloved I-love-it-so-much-I-want-to-marry-it Linux. But whatever UnLinux titles I buy, they're gonna be at least 60% off. ;D

This was one of my points before I believe, I'm hoping such a feature will help the Linux base at least on Steam to grow. If more people do end up playing Windows games through Steam Play developers will see it and start some conversations.

If I remember well, Windows games purchased on the Linux steam client and played via Steamplay-Proton counts as a Linux purchase...
So, just because of the Proton initiative, this time Valve really deserves the 30% cut of the cake...

I don't know You, but I will buy games for to support the Proton initiative... Dishonored is on the top of my list.

Also, due to Ringgit weakening, some Steam games prices' starts to jacking up.So, Steam sales may not give any significant "savings"...

I really, really want to play Sleeping Dogs. I have the original but it doesn't start with proton. I saw that the Definitive Edition runs on a PC with RX460 https://spcr.netlify.com/app/307690 (my card is RX460) so now I'm really torn, I was hoping Feral would port the game to Linux so I can support them, they already ported it to Mac, but it's been so long it doesn't seem they're going to do it. So now I constantly add and remove it from my cart.

I will definitely buy Ride, since the demo works like a charm with Steam Play and I'm the happiest Linux player in the world!

Until dont appear flash sales (24hr / 12hr / 8hr and 6hr cited information some time ago) dont want buy anything

Shadow Warrior 2 should be fine. I got it in the GOG anniversary giveaway, and it runs flawlessly under “normal” Wine/DXVK. I can't recall having to use any workarounds or tweaks, it Just Works.

(For what that's worth. I still can't get The Flame in the Flood to run at a decent framerate under Proton, even though it was the first game I ever tried with DXVK - being the most recent Windows game I owned at the time - and it was perfect. Don't know what's going on there.)

It's an UE4 game so it might be the nvapi problem. If it is, you can work around it by spoofing an AMD gpu. These are the first instructions I could find. Might be worth a shot.
