Another month has begun and so Humble have put out another Humble Monthly with a great Linux game plus one that works in Steam Play.

For the games you access right away, you will get Cities: Skylines along with the After Dark DLC which support Linux. It's easily the best city builder on Linux, perhaps even the best full stop. I've sunk more hours into it than I would care to admit! On top of that, they're giving Metal Gear Solid V (both Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain) which are Windows games although according to ProtonDB at least The Phantom Pain should work okay with Steam Play.

As usual, a bunch more titles will be revealed next month.

As a reminder, you also get access to the Humble Trove which has 30+ DRM free games available on Linux last I checked and that alone is worth quite a lot, with some good picks in there too. You can find titles like Orwell, Reus, SOMA, The End Is Nigh, Hacknet and plenty of other well-known and good Linux games.

For $12, that’s a pretty decent deal.

Last month they gave us HITMAN, 7 Days to Die, Hollow Knight, The Dwarves, Dead Island Definitive Edition plus some Windows titles like Resident Evil and Sniper Elite.

Check out the Humble Monthly here.

Cities skylines with after dark are frequently sold at $15 so I am not too impressed with the deal. The fact that I already got it with all the DLCs doesn't help either.

*edit corrected my calculations on prices from steamdb.
*edit2 misread the prices. It was better 8 months ago, but higher than $12 since.

For existing subs there has been plenty better for sure. For new subs though with the Trove it's still good with how many titles that has.

I just hate it when I own one of the games. Last month it was like: I already have Hollow Knight, I don't care about 7 Day to Die so that leaves just Hitman. Will I give 12 bucks for it? Eh... Same thing this month - I've Cities and I'm unsure if I'm that interested in MGS V.

Certainly the least compelling initial games in awhile. Especially since I already own Cities + After Dark.

Does anyone here have a spare After Dark key for a fellow penguin? :)

Yeah I might go for this pack if the skylines had all or most of the DLC, which is extensive.

This one is good for me. I don't own Cities yet and I'd like to have MGS:V on PC if it runs someday. I have the PS Plus version, but, you know PC master race.

It seems to wok fine in Proton. I've actually seen videos of it running fine, a while ago.

Despite that I already owned a number of November's bundle (Hitman, 7D2D, Dead Island DE, Resident Evil: Revelations) the main pull for me was Hollow Knight. And then, I was pleased to get The Dwarves (linux) and Hard Reset Redux (windows, proton) too. Thumbs up from me :)

Unlikely to get the new bundle, as already have City Skylines (not After Dark though) - so expecting to Pause-A-Month.

I only bought two Monthlies so far, one that was perfect for me and the other quite meh. It's this random nature of the bundles that puts me of, but it can somewhat be mitigated by trading unnecessary Steam keys. Here is my profile, you can contact me if you have something from my wishlist and want something I have in the Tradable section.
