Feral Interactive, one of the only companies to be porting AAA games to Linux have put out a request for more port suggestions.

THE REQUESTINATOR is whirring noisily into action! Feed your game requests for macOS, Linux or mobile into this marvellous machine and they will be processed with unnecessarily complex computational algorithms.

You can see the posts on Twitter and Facebook.

While it's a bit of fun, it will be interesting to see how many of the requests Feral actually end up porting. They're already working on Life is Strange 2, Total War: THREE KINGDOMS and Total War: WARHAMMER II is due out this month. So they're still bringing us some good games, but I do hope they seriously have more coming up.

If they really want a list, being realistic here my top three right now to keep me happy would be:

  1. HITMAN 2
  2. Just Cause 4
  3. Shadow of the Tomb Raider

I think those would be possible, since they already have some sort of contacts with each studio and publisher and have done previous titles. In the case of Just Cause 4, it's the same developer that did Mad Max which Feral Ported to Linux. Those are my realistic titles, however, if they want to push they boat out a little how about:

  1. Dying Light 2
  2. Dead by Daylight
  3. Divinity: Original Sin 2

What would be your top 5, that you would want Feral to port to Linux?

Quoting: fglrx+1 for a hat in time. it already has a mac version.

That would be my #1 choice as well. Would love to have any of the LEGO games on Linux as well.

1. Starcraft2
2. Starcraft: Brood War
3. GTA5
4. Skyrim
5. PUBG (don't own this one but would like it ported just because it's a popular game and it would be an asset for the platform)

Hitman 2 definitely on top of my Feral wishlist. Hitman 1 is great game even do in my computer, the graphics looks like this.....

Also. As a motorcyclist commuter, I'm still patiently wait for my MXGP3. No rush VP, take your time...

ADD (little bit): And (another) also, if Feral really want to "dive and port" Motorcycle games, Ride 2 or Ride 3 would be nice. Just if... (Hope you'll read this Feral)

p/s: BTW, is it confirm CDPR won't bring Cyberpunk 2077 to Linux??

Going by your PC info, you have a AMD GCN 1.0 GPU, in which case this should have been fixed by the game update last week. Do you still see it on the latest version?

Games that I would consider buying if they became available on Linux are;
Dirt Rally 2
Divinity Original Sin 2
The Forest
Farming Simulator

I already look forward to TotalWar Warhammer II and TW Three Kingdoms.

Why not request the best games?

Witcher 3
Red Dead 2
GTA 5

I'd also like to see divinity 2 and Bayonetta.

Quoting: Guestat this moment cat suggest any other that Divinity: Original Sin 2

I stopped playing the first one mainly due to this rock paper scissors nonsense. The second one doesn't have this, right?

Quoting: GuestIs there a page outside of those silly facebook and twitter social media to post our suggestions ?

Right here should be fine. I'm sure the good folks from Feral are lurking. The post above yours is from a Feral developer.

I know it's impossible, but...Witcher 3, GTA V and Red Dead 1 & 2. Also the Souls games.

Why do so many people want ports of games that already work in proton? I mean I understand you all want native ports, but why not target games that dont already work in proton as to expand the Linux game catalog? I mean is it really worth getting hairworks to work in the Witcher 3 to request it?

I'm just interested in your perspective. This isnt meant to be hostile, but meant as an open, friendly discussion.

I would also like to see the Japanese side of their current publisher partners on Linux. E.g just from Sega:

1. Yakuza games
2. Valkyria Chronicles 1 & 4
3. Bayonetta

I actually wonder why we haven't seen this Japanese stuff from Feral. Is it because the Japanese side of these companies don't want to play ball, or is it because all the documentation and possibly the code itself for these games is in Japanese? Japanese developers also tend to use their own engines which would make it even harder for Feral to port them.

Hitman 2 would be really cool. That's my top priority for Feral right now.
Just Cause 4 also sounds sweet!

Future titles:

Metro: Exodus
Cyberpunk 2077
Doom Eternal
Wasteland 3
Phoenix Point
Witchfire
Dying Light 2

Current titles:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The Elder Scrolls Online
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Hitman 2
Wolfenstein 2
(Into The Breach)

Older titles:

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
Fallout 4
The Witcher 3
GTA V

I can fairly safely say, I'd purchase any of these titles as soon as a Linux version was available. I put brackets around "Into The Breach" because I'm expecting the original studio, Subset Games, will build for Linux, and I'm certainly hoping that Techland builds Dying Light 2 for Linux too.

A quick question: Did you shelved Vulkan renderer in Hitman forever or it is an ongoing thing but not high on priority list?

Hairworks in Witcher 3 is working.

You need a Transform Feedback extension compatible driver , that's all.

On Nvidia : 396.54.09 ( Still not on in 4xx series ).
For AMD: Mesa git

It's about the value you put on a game. This varies greatly from person to person and game to game. Take the much requested Skyrim for instance. Skyrim is from Bethesda, who is also responsible for blocking the Linux build of the lastest Doom. This makes me put a value of $0 on all Bethesda titles. That effectively means I refuse to spend money on it at all. If however, the would change their mind and have Feral port Skyrim, the value would increase by a lot because it's greatly beneficial to Linux gaming.

Most stuff is somewhere in between. However, I still value things that require Proton to run much lower than native games. Which means they might be at the back of queue forever.

This is how I see things. But others may do it differently.

Also, hairworks in The Witcher 3 works fine with DXVK.
