Feral Interactive, one of the only companies to be porting AAA games to Linux have put out a request for more port suggestions.

THE REQUESTINATOR is whirring noisily into action! Feed your game requests for macOS, Linux or mobile into this marvellous machine and they will be processed with unnecessarily complex computational algorithms.

You can see the posts on Twitter and Facebook.

While it's a bit of fun, it will be interesting to see how many of the requests Feral actually end up porting. They're already working on Life is Strange 2, Total War: THREE KINGDOMS and Total War: WARHAMMER II is due out this month. So they're still bringing us some good games, but I do hope they seriously have more coming up.

If they really want a list, being realistic here my top three right now to keep me happy would be:

  1. HITMAN 2
  2. Just Cause 4
  3. Shadow of the Tomb Raider

I think those would be possible, since they already have some sort of contacts with each studio and publisher and have done previous titles. In the case of Just Cause 4, it's the same developer that did Mad Max which Feral Ported to Linux. Those are my realistic titles, however, if they want to push they boat out a little how about:

  1. Dying Light 2
  2. Dead by Daylight
  3. Divinity: Original Sin 2

What would be your top 5, that you would want Feral to port to Linux?

Dragon Ball FighterZ. Or Injustice 2. Or Street Fighter V. A fighting game pls.
Mountain Man 14 Nov 2018
How about another Total War game?

Just kidding. This question is much harder to answer now that I've gotten LEGO Lord of the Rings, Skyrim, and Arkham City working with Proton.

Linux could use a few more racing games, either sims or arcades.

But it needs also a better wheel support.

Well, of unrealistic choises, beside rockstar games (all GTAs, LA Noire, RDR*), Uncharted series would be nice (would be cool if have PC port on Linux first).

The best bang for the buck supporting a game out the door as a day 1 release , would be "cyberpunk 2077"

Mmm Hitman 2 is unlikely they were part of Se when they gave permission for hitman to be ported now they are independent they appear to of cooled off on linux. Again don't know the numbers or return they got from the native version would be interesting to see if there is any data on that. What I would like to see versus what am expecting to see

Like to see
Witcher 3
Thronebreaker
Titanfall 2

What I am expecting to see
Total war something
Probably Shadow of tomb raider
football manager 2019

I think Feral have better sell if they focus about great games that do not work or have little compatibility with Steamplay/Proton.

I'm dreaming to play Rockstar games on Linux:
GTA
L.A. NOIRE
RED DEAD REDEMPTION

and all the Just Cause chapters too.

Big dream since Read dead isnt on Pc period would love them to bring to linux tho

Sadly the chances of seeing anything from cdprojeckt red are about zero given the meltdown they had with the linux community before during and after witchergate.

Tbh I think Feral should focus hard on trying to port multiplayer games. Thats the biggest area that Proton is lacking and one of the biggest dealbreakers with people trying to switch from windows. If you cant play with your friends then they are way less likely to stay on the Linux side of the fence.

they do with warhammer
just look at the top100 list
https://www.protondb.com/

there are so many linux games. which game should they port?
pubg.... dont think so
ubisoft (clancy / for honor)... dont think so
gta5.... rockstar same as ubisoft
paladins, path of exile.... free to play... how should this work?

dead by daylight... maybe

there is not much to port for feral on the MP market, which brings the moneyzzzz

Warframe

Already works flawlessly on lutris for me

Dirt Rally 2 would be great.

That will be VP that ports those as they have done all the other codemasters ports

[Going by your PC info, you have a AMD GCN 1.0 GPU, in which case this should have been fixed by the game update last week. Do you still see it on the latest version?
Not yet. Maybe I'm trying it on weekend. Too busy with work as end of 2018 is getting nearer.
UPDATE: Already tried last night (my local time). Fixed the graphics but losing some FPS.

Here's a pictures:

Paris. This place/room always looks invisible before update.

FYI: I'm running low setting and 1536x864 resolution on HITMAN.

Hitman 1 is great game even do in my computer, the graphics looks like this.....

A quick question: Did you shelved Vulkan renderer in Hitman forever or it is an ongoing thing but not high on priority list?
Erm.. you asked me or aejsmith?

PUBG, skyrim. (yeah I'm just a simple man lol....)
sarmad 15 Nov 2018
Fifa or PES. Linux needs a football game.
officernice 15 Nov 2018
Killing Floor 2, Rising Storm 2, Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm, Quake Champions (that won't happen lol), The old GTA trilogy.

Right now, apart from the latest Tomb Raider, I guess I'd really like to try Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

I see a lot of people mentioning Metro: Exodus or Dying Light 2 - earlier games in these series were ported by their developers/publishers. Can I take it from the requests that they've already announced that they won't be porting their latest games?

I haven't seen anything specific. But regardless, Feral would probably do a better job on the ports since those games were not without issues.

Of course the best choice and obvious way to go, should be port games that are completely borked in proton for drm reasons, but are clearly really really missed in linux.

PUBG not working on linux it is a big issue, even if i don't play it! I sincerely hope this is eventually working one way or the other, and that there is some money to be make, and that.

Is there a chance Feral get in touch with Bluehole and PUBG corporation, and make this happen? This would be a big win for linux platform, and something that could really make a difference!

As others have said, cyberpunk is a very hyped title, and that would be an insta-buy for almost everyone, i guess. Being so far from release, who knows if it is even possible to talk about a linux port? I really hope that this is done eventually.

At SISoftware they have dropped the linux version for this year football manager. It is getting decent reviews and the game has got faithful followers. is there anything it could be done about this? this was a loss for linux.
