Another season, another sale! Looking for a new game? Here's a good chance to take a look at some fine Linux games.
Firstly, if you act fast, you will be able to get a free copy of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion until November 18th which should work okay with Steam Play.
As for Linux games, here's some picks to get you started off:
- Trine Enchanted Edition - 85% off
- Trine 2: Complete Story - 85% off
- PixelJunk Shooter - 85% off (Scaine was a big fan)
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - 85% off
- Deponia: The Complete Journey - 85% off
- The Fall - 80% off
- Life Is Strange - Complete Season - 80% off
- DiRT Rally - 80% off
- XCOM 2 - 75% off
- Sheltered - 75% off
There's absolutely tons more, plenty of great deals I'm not mentioning there simply because I would be here all night listing some of my favourite games or things I think you might find interesting. Or perhaps you want to check out a cheap Windows game to try in Steam Play? Feel free to take a wider look.
Humble also still have The Humble Dystopian Bundle which has 11 days left and various other bundles. Head on over to Humble Store and find something new.
Worth noting, the next Steam sale is also this month.
While grateful for the official OpenGL Linux port, I have to say that performance-wise it lags far behind the native windoze version.... (Oh, and it's a great game.)

Right now, Surviving Mars is having a free weekend on Steam, and 30-40% off, depending on what DLC bundle you buy, if you want to keep it. (There seems to be a few Paradox titles on sale, actually: CKII's at 75% off, for example.)
I'm still a bit wary of the replay value in Haemimont's games to buy it outright, but I'll definitely give it a try. Maybe I'll like it too much to resist. It has happened before. Damn you, Steam!
Initially many people mentioned it had a bunch of bugs. Does anyone have this? Is that still true? Does the linux version work well?
Quoting: stretch611I noticed that Pathfinder: Kingmaker Explorer Edition is on sale...

It's something I'm actually also planning to buy, so I'm interested in feedback too.
And now, I'm not even sifting through the list to find good native ports, I'm just looking for games I like, and checking Linux compatibility later (if ever, 'case most of 'em just work).
Now we need a decent video editor and some official driver front-ends, and we'd be on Windows parity in terms of games.
I'll try contacting developers about it.

Quoting: wvstolzingI wonder how the Deus Ex Mankind Divided (DX11 mode) behaves under DXVK. The protondb page for it doesn't contain much in the way of a clue (I mean, it says 'borked', but the person could have tried to run it in DX12 mode, maybe?)
Works great... no issues.
