The Dragon's Lair is a new free game mode for all owners of the card-based strategy game Faeria, each day it will present you with three new challenges. This will require you to be at least level 20 to enter though, thankfully there's plenty of other content available already both single-player and online.

It's unique, in the way that it combines a collectable card game with a strategy game where you construct the board as you go. You take it in turns building the world, while placing cards and moving them around. It's very interesting and really quite exciting to play. So for those who aren't going to be looking at Valve's Artifact next week, I consider this a solid alternative.

The game seems to work beautifully on Linux, I will probably have to stop myself playing a lot more of it. It had been so long, I logged in to find over 70+ chests to open and I got a little bit engrossed in some online matches. Completed a simple daily quest to deal damage to enemies, that's another 2 chests unlocked for new cards—lovely stuff. I actually enjoy the online play though, the gameplay and card abilities make it a challenging and exciting game. Absolutely plays into that "just one more go" feeling.

I do like that Faeria moved away from a free to play model, so all cards outside of DLC packs can be earned in-game directly.

The single-player content is really fun too, there's surprisingly a lot of it. Honestly, I think it's well worth picking up even if you're not into competitive online play. Good time too, since it's 35% off in the Steam sale. Find it on Steam.

Since the "2.0" update much, much better - very polished, many game modes (single and multi), runs flawless, cross-plattform multiplayer, nice and fair business model. I found over 70 chests (booster) on my account, too - was really surprised!

Highly recommended, give it a try (especially if you played/owned it before)!

The game client has also a very easy to use tournament feature build in to quickly set up some tournaments with your friends.

And if you want to search for other active players - to play some of the coop missions e.g. - I recommend to join the Faeria Discord channels. You will find a link with a Discord invite inside the game client if you click on the icon to get to your in-game friends list.

And a collection of decks with lots of guides and links to videos can be found on Faeria.com/the-hub.

I also recommend to follow their news section on Faeria.com/news for their weekly updates on every Friday with information about upcomming tournaments (some of them with prizes for winners), infos about possible new features and links to new decks, guides and videos.

I played it right when it was released, and it was fun. Then I left it for a long time (over a year) and I completely forgot how to play and what I was doing.

I want to start over with the basic deck and initial tutorials. But there's no way to reset or start over, so I just can't get into the game again.

I had a similar problem - try the puzzle mode! It starts easy and you'll be in again in no time. For the basic decks there are blueprints, so you should be able to rebuild them.

How does it work...? Sounds pretty interesting! I thought that this would be a new feature in Valve's upcoming "Artifact" - didn't expect this in Faeria?!

You invite friends from your in-game friends list to a lobby. Then a new lobby window starts where you can set up the rules for the tournament. But the details are a little bit foggy for me because the last time I tried out the tournament feature is some months ago. They added new tournament formats though in the last weeks.
