A nice way to end the week on, the DRM free store GOG are giving away copies of SOMA for 48 hours so act fast. Note: Apparently the claim button on the game's page doesn't work, there's also a banner you can use on the GOG homepage.
For those not always a fan of the difficulty in horror titles like SOMA, they actually added an easier mode last year for those who prefer to follow the story. I always love the story-telling in Frictional Games' titles, a few issues aside it's a brilliant game. Something for your weekend perhaps, it's free so you've got nothing to lose. Just bring some spare pants.
As a reminder, the GOG Winter Sale is also still going until January 3rd. If you or a friend are looking for something new, we have a curated collection available to look over.
Plenty of Linux games are currently on sale not in our little list for those who prefer using GOG, find all Linux titles available here.
There's also even more games available on GOG Connect, the service that allows you to grab a copy on GOG of selected titles you own on Steam.
I will consider buying games on GOG, if there is propper Linux support. Until then, Valve gets my money...
For some reason I can't claim the game no matter how many times I click it. Is anyone having the same issue?
Me too, I can't claim the game.
For your information:Thanks, added a note.
Right now, the "claim" button on the game page does not work. The GOG support has kindly redirected me toward the main store page : https://www.gog.com/
The button provided on that page works. Cool ! I now have SOMA on both steam and GOG. I guess the other page will be fixed soon enough. ^_^
That is the only way I purchase games on GOG - for free :-)

I've honestly never been that taken with their storefront in the first place. I find it awkward to use, and until Lutris came along the lack of a launcher where I could keep everything in one place was a turn-off. Not to mention generally having a bad impression of them through their regular social gaffes. So yeah, it's a bunch of things.

Thanks, it worked for me on the main page. I also bought Darksiders Warmastered Edition (only 3.40€) and got Fantasy General for free.

The latest update with videos autoplaying on mouse-over, not to mention the gigantic images, certainly doesn't help either. Though as far as online storefronts go, I think this is one of the tidier ones.
Not really into horror games -- not because they scare me; they just don't interest me -- but still, I'm not going to turn down free! Then, like Liam said, I'd really recommend to play in (or try) SafeMode, it indeed takes away the stress and leaves space for exploration and the actual story.
There's this review that goes a bit into details here
Best game ever. It's really amazing if you like good settings <3
... for a moment, you had me thinking "why would anyone play with 'bad settings'?"
