GOG have officially unwrapped a present in the form of a winter sale which comes with a free copy of Full Throttle Remastered for a limited time.

Additionally, if you spend at least $15/£11.79 they will throw a copy of EVERSPACE your way which is an excellent game. On top of that, at 2PM UTC every day they will have new daily deals which will have bigger than usual discounts.

I had a little browse and found some interesting deals for you:

There's obviously a lot more, those are just a simple taste of what's on offer and available on Linux. If you know someone after a new Linux games, you can also quickly point them to our collection on GOG.

Finally, for those of you with an account on Steam and GOG, their GOG Connect is back with a bunch of new games for you to redeem a copy on GOG if you own them on Steam. For me it showed a few Shadowrun titles, Trine Enchanted Edition and more.

See the full list of what GOG have on sale for Linux here. It lasts for three weeks, with time up on January 3rd.

I've had Shadowrun Returns on Steam for about 5 months but GOG Connect says it's unavailable. Does anyone know if I need to have played it for it to get picked up? I haven't touched it yet.

I had the same experience (hadn't touched Shadowrun Returns, etc.) -- then, on Steam, I clicked on install, and refreshed the GOG connect page; only then did it recognize the game.

Thanks for that. Still no dice for me, though =/

Quoting: GuestI finally broke down and bought an old game to run with AdamHM's wrappers. Tried MOHAA, a game I played quite a bit BITD when I used Windows. Anyway, seems to work great so far! Thanks for the wrapper.

One question; can anyone describe to me how to make the UI text larger. I'm running a 32" 4K monitor, and I can just barely make out the text. About double the size would be great. Don't care if it's pixelated, as long as I can actually read it.

I guess it depends on what desk you're using but on Gnome you can change the font size under tweak settings or in xfce under appeareance in the font tab settings. Can't remember now if you could also change there the DPI in Gnome, in xfce you can, and whether that could improve the experience.

Hope that helps :)

Quoting: EMO GANGSTERhow do I get free copy of Full Throttle Remastered to launch through Steam in Linux mint it in the game library on mint but doesn't show up on add games list, tried linking the start.sh but nothing happens
From what I remember, the Steam client doesn't handle folder names with spaces well. If you go into the link properties, you will probably see the folder path is cut off.

I have several games on GOG that were just thrown onto my account when I created it and a couple other freebies from sales. Mostly very old games like the Ultima franchise.
