Frosty Fest is now live in Rocket League, giving you a chance to earn Snowflakes as you play online to redeem special winter-themed items.
As always, it's completely free. The in-game currency cannot be purchased and can only be earned simply by playing the game in online matches. It's just a fun little event for players to earn some fun customisation items.
I have to say, I'm a pretty big fan of the animated decal:
The event ends on January 7th, 10 PM UTC. You will have until January 10th, 10 PM UTC to redeem all your Snowflakes.
To celebrate a bit of winter fun, we're doing some brand new Rocket League tournaments! It's been a while, I hope you've been practising! Even if you're new to the game, it's just a bit of fun.
Save these dates:
Wednesday, 19th December
- EU: 9PM UTC - 1 on 1 (best of three)
- US: 9PM PST/5AM UTC - 1 on 1 (best of three)
Friday, 21st December:
- EU: 9PM UTC - 2 on 2 (best of three)
- US: 9PM PST/5AM UTC - 2 on 2 (best of three)
Saturday, 22nd December
- EU: 9PM UTC - 1 on 1 (best of three)
- US: 9PM PST/5AM UTC - 1 on 1 (best of three)
How they work: Make sure you're around at least 15 minutes early, registrations should open then (I don't control that, RL does).
Hopefully the timings for the US are correct, time-zones are hard when RL only lets me pick in my local zone.
If you have suggestions for future tournaments or requests do let me know. I'm happy to run some more in future for my favourite Linux game. I hope you will be able to join us for some of them. If you're wanting a bit of practice, you could always join on of our social groups to find people to play with (links in our footer). Our Discord is probably the most active.
Are you going to livestream the event? Do add it to our Livestreams page so people know about it!

Edit: Seems I might have had the timezone wrong somehow, so I will likely need to re-do the US events. Don't worry though, it will all be correct before they start. Or not, double checking I think the US PST times are actually correct. I'm sure someone will till me if it's not.

Could you just post the US tournaments according to their UTC time? North America is generally UTC -8 to -5 going West to East.Exactly what I used :)Hopefully the timings for the US are correct, time-zones are hard when RL only lets me pick in my local zone.
