I've been meaning to try out Golf With Your Friends for some time, after it has been recommended by various followers. I finally got around to it and it's pretty good.
With thanks to recent new supporters, I was able to pick up a copy for testing.

Features:
- 7 Vibrant challenging levels containing 18 holes each, 126 holes in total.
- 12 Player multiplayer with Steam integration
- Level Editor
- Ball customization (Hats and Trails)
- Modifiers (low gravity, different ball shapes, etc)
- Different gamemodes (Hoops and Hockey)
- Player created servers
While it has multiplayer features, it's not required. You can do basically everything by yourself, obviously it's a lot of fun with other people but don't let that dissuade you thinking it's not good by yourself. Quite a lot of my time in it has been spent alone and I've still had a really fun experience overall.
Like any good game of mini golf, there's plenty of obstacles to overcome. It's a good mix between laughter and frustration, I think the level design has a good amount of balance for that. They added in Steam Workshop support and so there's tons of extra levels available too and some of them are pretty good too!
As usual for Unity games, it has various issues on Linux. Solved them by adding this as a launch command for the game and you will be good to go:
-force-glcore42 -force-clamped
Performance has been really great on high settings, really smooth and a joy to play. The only downside is the incredibly repetitive music, but if you're alone you play your own music and with others you're all laughing at each other's failure so it's not a major downside.
Find it on Humble Store and Steam.
But still great fun when it works.
ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/mathieu/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.
Same error with or without tweaking the launch command.

That error is actually normal for 64 bit games. If it's not working, find the game's Player.log.
I personally like the music, but yeah, with only a single track for each of the different course it does get repetitive fast.
