JYDGE remains as one of my favourite top-down shooters to come from 10tons and now it's also available for GOG fans. Note: GOG provided a copy.

It's not exactly an old game, only being released in October 2017 so it's not like it suddenly changed with age or anything. I completed it some time ago on Steam but thanks to the GOG release I jumped back in for another blast. It's like seeing an old best friend for the first time in a while, exciting to go back to.

You can see my original thoughts on the game here.

Since the original release, it did have a couple of sweet updates. Performance was improved, it gained multiple new awesome music tracks, a load-out picker and so on. They've since moved onto other games but not ever game needs to be "as a service" and see updates thrown out constantly.

Still find it hilarious one of the enhancements you get is a laser drone called Liam, yes that makes me like it more. Come along Liam, good robot. Jokes aside, it's a solid shooter with some fantastic customisation options you don't want to miss out on.

Pick it up on GOG now, otherwise it's still up on Humble Store (DRM free + Steam key) and Steam.
