Another day, another new GOG release for your DRM free fans to pick up your gamepad for. They now have the super retro TANGLEWOOD available with Linux support.

See Also: My previous article on the game.

The incredibly interesting thing about TANGLEWOOD is how it was made. It's not your ordinary retro-inspired game, it was made very much like the classics "programmed in pure 68000 assembly language, using original development tools and processes from the 1990s".

Yup, on GOG it's listed in the extras.

Did they bundle an emulator with the 'modern' releases?

In the 'homebrew scene', there are publishers that release games on itch.io (e.g. https://rgcddev.itch.io/) ostensibly for 'Windows/Mac/Linux', though they instruct the buyer to go download the emulator on their own. I think there are plenty of other homebrew titles normally released in physical formats or direct downloads for emulators, that deserve to be made visible on GOG as well.
