I have to hand it to Realmforge Studios and Kalypso Media Digital, they've supported Dungeons 3 exceptionally well since release.

Not only have they released multiple new (and fully voiced) campaign packs, they also put out a free update earlier this month adding in a new multiplayer map and a powerful new spell can be earned by completing the Clash of Gods expansion.

Today, they're going to be releasing another small DLC, the rather amusingly named 'An Unexpected DLC' which will feature:

  • A new, fully voiced campaign across 3 challenging maps
  • New boss enemy: The Queen of the Forest
  • New creep type: Rootling

Amusingly, they said the Lord of the Kings expansion released back in April last year would be the last. They went onto release another with Clash of Gods in September last year and here we are again with another.

I'm certainly not complaining though, it's a game that definitely deserves a long life. Apart from going a bit over the top with jokes early on in the first campaign, it firmly finds its feet and it's an enjoyable strategy game overall.

You will be able to find the game and all DLC on Humble Store, GOG and Steam.

I really like the over-the-top jokes. My friend and I are really close to completing the original campaign, and we have several DLC ready to go when we're finished. I love this game!
