Welcome to something new and a little different, at least once a week I will be doing a video (and podcast-like audio) of recent Linux gaming news in bite-size form.
As I go with it, I'm hoping it will evolve into something interesting as a companion to the website itself. The time is quite cramped, so future episodes will likely be longer but not by much. The point is to keep it bite-sized.

That was pretty well done. This should definitely be a thing.

This is excellent addition to the website. Although I read almost every posting on GOL, I really enjoyed hearing you summarize the most important information of the week. Being an audio presentation also helps me remember the information, so I can pass it on to my Linux using friends. In addition, since I have problems with pronunciation and sounding out words, I now know the proper pronunciation of the game names and technology you mention during these podcasts... although my friends may start to wonder why I have developed an English accent when talking about gaming. :)
Thanks for all your hard work Liam. It is appreciated.

Thumbs up Liam!
I humbly second that suggestion on YT that you should have some sort of text/image showing the current subject, just for us to keep track of what you're currently talking about.

Quoting: dpanterThumbs up Liam!Yup, I agree for those watching the video rather than just listening. Already have some ideas on this, to keep it simple while giving people something to see.

This is absolutely something I will do for the next one.

The podcast is a really cool idea! I liked it very much! As for the video, why not show yourself to your audience? Or maybe some kind of split screen with a video of you describing the stuff and having some info regarding the current topic displayed along with it? Would also add some personal flavor.

Quoting: Duke TakeshiYou might laugh, but I'm ridiculously shy and my camera setup is pretty terrible + terrible lighting in my office. The fact that I'm on camera of Destination Linux (like this recent episode skip to around 1:16:00) is a miracle :PQuoting: liamdaweQuoting: dpanterThumbs up Liam!Yup, I agree for those watching the video rather than just listening. It works very well and gets the job done if you ask me. Plenty of guests on that show that have far worse setups than that. I only watch via zoom though so I guess that gives a slightly different view of things and ppl compared to the edited video.
It's not like there's any point in trying to compete with Michael when it comes to hair and speeches ;)
