While it has no clear release date other than this year, Monster Logic certainly looks like a sweet programming puzzle game that's coming to Linux.
I'm always keen to see what more developers can do with simple and sometimes not so simple programming mechanics and I have to admit it looks pretty good:

What the developer had to say about it:
Monster Logic is an Indie 2D puzzle/programming game made with passion by one developer. It is loosely based on esoteric programming language Befunge. Using monsters each with unique abilities, the player will have to organize, edit and combine them to provide the correct output for each puzzle.
Based on what the developer has said, here's what it will feature
- Based on esoteric languages Befunge and Trefunge
- 42 unique levels
- 7 Hand-drawn biomes
- 13 different monsters
- Harder Dark World levels
- Compete online
You can follow it and wishlist on Steam.

Main and only developer here: thank you for your article!
To give more context, I've been developing this game on the side while having a full-time job for 2.5 years using no engine other than SFML for spriting and good ol' C++.
My main inspiration has been Zachtronics works (who I contacted for server for histograms, while I ended up only using Steam Leaderboard for now), whose simple but complicated programming game has always been some of my favorite games.
I've currently started a closed beta to test and finish the game. I didn't put a proper release date yet because I'm not 100% sure how long the debugging part will take, put it shouldn't be more than a couple of months.
Thank you again for the article, and I hope you'll like my game :)

What better place to find inspiration than right from the master. If this is anything close, it'll be a hell yeah for me.
