Estranged: Act II from solo developer Alan Edwardes is pretty impressive and it continues to see improvements during Early Access. Another update is now out!

For those who've not played it, Estranged: Act II is mostly an exploration game with some narrative elements, a few puzzles and a little combat sprinkled in.

When testing out and completing it on the previous build, I did like it quite a lot. However, some parts of it did feel a little slow. To help with this, the latest version introduces a new type of infected to deal with which should make it quite a bit more interesting.

There's other gameplay tweaks as well, to help the overall feel and atmosphere of the game. Things like properly animated jumps, water footstep sounds and so on to make it feel more complete.

See the full update notes here.

As I understand, it's just something they do in their free time.
A good example of passion for videogames.
