We have a huge amount of games with a pixel art style but rarely do they look as unique as the boss rush adventure game Far Blade.
What makes it somewhat unique, is that it uses "a specialized technique that generates 3d models with a pixel art style". If you take a look at the trailer below, you will see just how fascinating it looks:

What also has me interested in this one, is that the developer says it's a hand-crafted adventure, so there's no random generation at play here. Random generation can be good of course, there's plenty of games that do it well enough but properly crafted experiences tend to be a lot more interesting to play through.
Currently in Early Access, it's being developed by a single person which includes the art and coding. They're hoping to get enough funding through their current Early Access release to work with a composer on some unique music for it.
It has a Linux version available and you can find it on itch.io.
I like real pixel graphics because of how sharp hand crafted pixel graphics look... but this isn't comparable to that at all.
"Boss Rush", "Roque-Lite" ... and so on.
LOL :D
Quoting: subFunny, those new (?) genres that should - I guess - tell me what this game is about but do nothing but confuse me.
"Boss Rush", "Roque-Lite" ... and so on.
LOL :D
We're getting old xD
To me seems like a Zelda-esque game. The art reminds me of Little Big Adventure and the original Outcast, somehow.
