Publisher Headup and developer Studio Erikson announced today that their hilarious and ridiculous looking 2D sandbox racing game is coming to Linux in June.

April 11th 2019, Dueren, Germany - After many insanely fun playing sessions at PAX East and a Team Choice Award Award from Marooners Rock, we are happy to announce the first fixed release date of our upcoming party game. Fromto will be released on PC, Mac and Linux on June 4th. The version for Nintendo Switch will follow later this year, in Q3 2019.
I'm pretty happy to see this announcement, as I spoke to Headup back in March and they did say their intention was to do a Linux version and now it seems very much official.
At release this party game will offer single-player fun as well as up to four people in both online and local multiplayer, an online leader board, lots of different cars, full controller support, destructible terrain, cars and obstacles to unlock and plenty more.

Fromto is a horrible, childish 2D sandbox racing game with in game track building. All players race an unfinished track in turn. When everyone fails all players must ‘work together’ to modify the track before they try again. Think strategic, build sneaky routes and trick your opponents with nifty traps and obstacles. Experiment endlessly with tons of track parts and win in unthinkable ways. Play with up to four friends (online or offline) in this action packed living playground. After you ruined all your friendships you can dive into the single player speed run challenges.
It looks like one of those games that really will make you yell at your friends, with plenty of laughter mixed in. It certainly looks unique and that's partly due to the fact that the developer's own children helped create it.
