French developer Atelier 801 has recently announced Transformice Adventures, a new multiplayer action-RPG and it's coming to Linux sometime later this year.

Set in the same world as their older MMO title, Transformice, a game which I had never heard of until recently but it seems a lot of people enjoyed it (with over 100 million registered users) so it will be interesting to see if many come back for something a little different. They're saying their special Job system (like RPG classes) will do something a little different, giving you additional ways to influence fights which sounds interesting.

From what they've said, it's going to go through a Kickstarter campaign next month so we will let you know when that launches. They've fully confirmed Linux will be a platform for release, just like their previous game Dead Maze although I do hope they're using more modern tools to build Transformice Adventures as Dead Maze suffered a bit due to the use of Flash.

You can wishlist and follow it on Steam.

This could be fun playing with my kids. On the other hand, it's annoying to manage that many Steam accounts.
