The weekend is almost upon us and you're in the market for a fresh new game, I've got you covered with what deals are going currently.
I will start with a remind about the Humble tinyBuild Bundle 2019, it's a fantastic deal with Punch Club, The Final Station, Speedrunners, Streets of Rogue (a favourite!) and a few more good games.
Humble have also extended their Spring Sale with an encore so it now ends on May 27th at 5PM UTC. Tons of Linux gaming deals going there (and some good Steam Play picks too) like:
- Cities: Skylines - 75% off (same deal on the Paradox Store)
- Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition - 70% off
- Dungeons 3 - 70% off
- Darkest Dungeon: Ancestral Edition - 60% off
- Tyranny - 50% off
- For The King - 50% off
- Surviving Mars 40% off
Over on GOG, they also have multiple deals going! Their Plug In Digital & Dear Villagers sale is on which has top deals on some good Linux games like:
- NeuroVoider - 64% off
- Turmoil - 60% off
- Mana Spark - 45% off
Also, GOG's current Midweek Sale that's ending in around 35 hours has a bunch of retro DOSBox games on sale and Railway Empire is quite cheap with 60% off (Humble has the same deal). Their Weekly Sale also has the top price currently on Unepic at 65% off.
Finally, for those interested Humble Store are giving out DRM-free copies of Jalopy and if you grab it before May 25th at 5PM UTC you will also get a coupon to get a Steam key for $1. Looking at ProtonDB, it seems to run well with Steam Play.
For those also wondering, it looks like the next big Steam sale is on June 25th going by the leaks.
Quoting: EhvisAre you sure? Then I could add an xterm and say it is any game.
Hmmm, honestly I don't see why a game added to your Steam library as a non-Steam game would not behave as a game purchased through Steam if you launch the game via Steam (the dev' will probably be reported that the game has not been bought on Steam but will also know that the game has been played via Steam and Proton, counting as "played on Linux"). :|
Quoting: riusmaIf I "Add a Non-Steam Game", Steam doesn't even try to link it to a game being sold on their store, and that means the developer sees nothing. It just provides a launcher and starts the Steam overlay before you start the game.Quoting: EhvisAre you sure? Then I could add an xterm and say it is any game.

Ah, sorry, I was believing that Steam would link it if available on the store... So yeah, probably doesn't count as "played on Linux" or anything else if Steam does not report back to the dev' (that's unfortunate)... :(

if you download JALOPY, just add the .exe file as non-steam game and force proton. it works
my question: does valve see that i am playing this game?
Yes if you launch the game through Steam, and it will be reported as "played on Linux" to the dev' (counting as a Linux sale). :)
Are you sure? Then I could add an xterm and say it is any game.
i was thinking of a .exe hash, that connects to the game
Watched this game play video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzSu6jnhslI
and it does look like something I'd probably enjoy.
Anyone played it and have thoughts?
I prefer the game play in Slay The Spire and Frost rather than Card Quest (Proton) or Monster Slayers (Proton) and especially not Pathfinder Adventures (Proton, yuck, didn't like this one).
Quoting: devnullAppears the Spring Cleaning Event stopped tracking games? Tried a couple, can't get past Day 2.Because it's still day two of the sale. :) You'll have to wait for day three before you can proceed. Day three starts today at 10.00 PDT, or 17.00 UTC (I think).

Yup, exactly this (and now I've completed day 2).
