Our ten year anniversary is coming close now and it's been some time since this was mentioned: GamingOnLinux is entirely funded by our readers. We have no adverts and no timed-exclusive articles, just the news as we get it direct into your feed and that's how we want to keep it.
In addition to the almost daily articles (some weekends we do take a break!), we have regular livestreams on Twitch and semi-regular YouTube videos along with the newer weekly News Punch podcast for those struggling to keep up. Plenty more is planned for the future too!
If you are able to support us, we would appreciate it. There's many ways to do so listed below:
You can also buy games using our affiliate links each time:
All the ways to support us, can be found on this page.
If you're unable to using those methods, sharing our content across your favourite social sites, Reddit and so on is also very helpful to expand our reach and ensure people know we exist.
Thank you for your support, hopefully you all had a great weekend. We're already gearing up for another full week!
Quoting: CreakBTW Liam, did you think about giving different badges depending on the reward? tyDon't worry I got your comment, it's sat in my inbox so I know to take a look at it and think on how to best do it :)
Thank you everyone, your support is incredible!
Quoting: GuestLiam has consistently provided valuable information to the Linux gaming community. I would not be aware of half of the Linux gaming options available to me without his articles, and am grateful that he has undertaken this endeavour. I actually appreciate calls for donations such as this, because it reminds me to not take this for granted, and make a small contribution.Thank you! I try to keep it a good few months between calls like this :)

So I try LibrePay, and they're cool with just the E-Mail address and do direct debit via SEPA. Thank you so much :-). So here's my measly €13/year. Don't spend it all at once ...
Quoting: Geppeto35Message for supporters: which way/site is the best (I mean with less charges from plateform, currency change, so with more money that directly go to GOL) for a €uro bank account as mine?Afraid I can't personally answer that, as I don't personally see the payment fees on Liberapay, but PayPal is generally quite low on my end in terms of fees. Patreon is the highest, since they take their own fee and then there's a PayPal fee on top of that.

All those sites are not really clear: fees are on top or remove from your grant? will see it on my bank statement in few days.
...curious to see a badge on my profile (we always stay a teenager on chrismas, even when we have 4x those years XD)
continue your great work Liam! best
Quoting: Para-GlidingDone yesterday, 60€ one-time payment in euros on liberapay. How does it translate to you concretely in pounds? You receive it month by month ou as a one-time also? For Liberapay, it's a one-time payment to me too. Looks like I end up with about £45.

Quoting: chris.echozI have retired my XMPP (who needs this when Matrix exists, duh) server and repurposed the saved cost of the VPS to a $5 monthly donation to GoL.Was my donation received? Still doesn't seem to have made me a "supporter".
Are PayPal donations counted on Patreon? I'm hesitant to touch anything Patreon due to some questionable ethics regarding censorship.
