For those of you who prefer to shop on the GOG side of the fence, their Summer Sale Festival is now officially live and there's a lot of good stuff cheaper.

Some nice Linux picks currently in the sale:

Obviously there's an absolute ton more, just for Linux there's around 16 pages of deals on GOG.

GOG are also giving away Obduction for the next two days, while it's only officially for Windows and Mac those of you making use of Wine might appreciate the freebie.

They will also be doing flash-deals, with a new set of even cheaper games every day. GOG's Summer Sale Festival lasts until June 17, 10 PM UTC.

Quoting: liamdaweApparently the publisher just isn't bothered.

Apparently, but they already were contacted by GOG about the release, so what's more to be bothered there? They just had to say yes, which would unblock VP to do it. Something is strange.

I posted this here and here.

But probably writing direct e-mail to 2K would be better.

Easy choice to make then --> I won't buy it.

Thanks Liam and Shmerl for your feedback.
Sadly I already bought Bioshock Infinite on GOG...
If only we could get an answer for other porters, maybe it's always the publisher's fault, if so, I'm sorry to say but fuck them.

Try writing an e-mail to 2K, may be they'll reply. Also, comment here, though they seem to completely ignore their own forum:

For the reference, Galaxy download works if you specify the architecture:

Quoting: PUPPY
Quoting: Sir_DiealotThere is a Banner Saga collection I almost bought because they are allegedly good games.
But after reading this I decided against it. https://www.gog.com/forum/the_banner_saga_series/linux_version

If I remember correctly those games were made on adobe air which dropped Linux support shortly after the first game was made, so the company was in a no win situation. Never reaching out and explaining that was a poor PR move on their part.

Recently they did go to the trouble of removing their broken and unplayable Linux port from steam so that people could play on proton, so at least linux support was in the back of their minds somewhere. It was a goodwill gesture in any case. link

I certainly can't blame you for not buying the games, they are very good though.

They did reply and say it was due to the partner handling the port going bankrupt: https://www.gog.com/forum/the_banner_saga_series/linux_version
