Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have put school back on the map, as the Cities: Skylines - Campus expansion is out now. In terms of features and new content, this is one of the bigger expansions to be released.

Adding in a little extra complexity for those who want it while also giving you even more freedom at the same time with the way you design your campus. Much like what came with the Parklife expansion, Campus lets you freely zone an entire area to build your fancy new education system.

As you design your campus, you will also gain access to various sports arenas all heavily inspired by American education. There's American Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track & field and swimming arenas which opens it up even more as you sell tickets, hire coaches, collect prizes for winning and so on. There's also five new maps, three new hats for Chirper, graduation ceremonies, museums and more.

Additionally, a free update went out for everyone to go along with it. This free update includes new Public Library and Academic Library buildings, bus line customization, a Yellow School Bus model, job titles for citizens and modding plus a rebalanced education mechanic and the usual assortment of bug fixes.

It continues to work well on Linux, good fun to play for those who don't want something overly serious. One of those gems that I find myself consistently coming back to play. Just don't expect to make that dinner date, it will suck away your time like a real demon.

You can pick it up from Humble Store and Steam.

Yeah you'd think they do a mix of international sports arena's.

Anyway this game is too expensive with all the DLC, yeah base game goes on a nice sale then you have over a $100 worth of DLC to get for the complete package.. ekk.

To be fair, this is first time this European-made game is showing any trace of American bias. Usually, even trying to make a city look North-American requires a whole lots of mods and a healthy dose of tinkering.

I call that fair.

a question for people playing Cities Skylines: with all the DLCs do you still manage to play it?
I mean, I bought couple, and with every DLC the game gets heavier and heavier, even if I am not necessarily using everything in the map.. so currently, load time is HIGH, and it's on the limits of me able to play it even anymore.

what are the current real requirements for the game if you have DLCs installed?
or is my system just broken?

Sports, bah! I want a high energy physics building with which to destroy the world, an arts campus which will spin off philosophies that could either improve or seriously worsen morale in the city, a business/economics school which will attract big donors but will also, as the percentage of managers in your city who are graduates increase, increase stratification so you end up with some areas turning very luxurious while others become slums, archaeology & paleontology departments which will discover relics and dinosaur skeletons to make your museum a much bigger attraction . . .

It might be mod related, I rarely install any mods. Loading times, while not in the blink of an eye are nothing I would actually complain about. Have all DLCs minus this one, mostly because after about 2500 hours there's not much to do anymore >_>
