The latest Humble Monthly seems like a good deal for Linux + Steam Play (two early unlocks)

I will be honest... I'm very tempted to subscribe to this.
Has anyone subscribed? Is it a good value for a Linux gamer? (I have no issue playing through WINE, but do prefer native)

I've been a subscriber for about a year. Most of the games from the subscription which I have tried have worked in Steam Play or are Linux native. The only exception I know of is Tales of Berseria, which doesn't run and is reported broken on protondb.

For me the only issue with Humble Monthly and Humble Bundle in general is the inconvenience. When you get your monthly games, they don't even automatically get added to your Humble Bundle library, until you "claim" the page for that month. After they're in your Humble Bundle library, you still have to redeem Steam keys one by one. So although I'm supposed to have hundreds of games, it would take a lot of time to just try a tiny percentage of them out.

I am subscribed to it for about half a year now, and I can't say I have the feeling not to get my money's worth out of it. Sure, at times the "big game of the month" is a Windows game which they probably wonder why I never unlocked the key for them. But often enough what you get is a total steal considering the low price, and the duplicates I usually pass on to my daughter, so even that is some additional value. And that's -without- considering the Windows stuff that runs just fine in Proton.

I don't like the loot box commercial model.

It's good value theoretically, but buying blind means most of the games aren't interesting to me. So I'll only buy if the early unlocks seem like stuff I'd really be into.

To be fair, it doesn't quite compare to these silly lootboxes. Because there is a big-brand game in the bundle EVERY month, while 99 out of a hundred lootboxes in any game contain just worthless rubbish. With Humble, you always "win" something. The only question is if you like the game (I am not into shooters, so this month wasn't really for me - it happens), but there is always at least one AAA game in there, and more often than not it's the "early unlock" one anyway. I have -never- had any month where I didn't like at least one game worth the $10-odd bucks I am spending on it.

Also you get access to the Trove with 60+ Games already including many good games for linux.
So yes, it's a good value.

IMHO the last two months have a been disappointing with Uplay (Assassins Creed Origins) and Battle.Net (Call of Doody 4 + Zombie Pack), but the others have been worth it.

I'm subscribed and in principle, it is good value. Unfortunately, I've been on a roll these past months, with buying games on Steam that are then revealed to be in the next bundle, so if you're a spontaneous purchaser, like me, you'll likely have to curb your trigger finger a bit more than normal for it to provide proper value.
Oh, I've also purchased games that were already in previous bundles because I didn't see them and their website is somewhat pants for checking what you've already got.

I'm a regular subscriber. Generally I decide to "Pause A Month" on approx 23rd of the month, if I am not happy with the early reveal games. That way, I don't get inadvertently charged for a month I didn't want. I paused the last two months, because the early reveals were Windows titles that didn't appeal to me.

However, this new month - Moonlighter and Hellblade - early reveals - I can certainly have a bit of that.

I am a subscriber to Humble Monthly and Origin Access Premium.
