It's the end of another busy week for Linux gaming, for many people the weekend is filled full of games.
For me, I shall be likely diving into some more Total War: THREE KINGDOMS. It's not perfect but it's by far the nicest Total War game I've tried in a very long time. Feral Interactive have done some incredible work on the optimisations for the Linux version that I remain very impressed.
I shall also be booting up my old friend Polychromatic, as I desperately try to beat the score of our contributor Samsai. Such a maddeningly streamlined twin-stick shooter, it's frustratingly good at killing me when I feel like I'm finally doing well.
So dear readers, what play button are you clicking on across this weekend and what do you think about it?

Rimworld. The most recent update came out Thursday and it decreases load times drastically for games with mods. I went from 800 sec to 180 sec on my old laptop.
I just lost half my colonists in a raid, so it'll be interesting to see if I can rebuild before winter.

I've started playing Fallout: New Vegas using Steam Play. I've had some hangs on loading, which is a drag, but otherwise works well. Looks better than it did on my X360, which is the last time I played it, I think.
I'm also down to play some Borderlands GOTY with my Bro-in-law. I'd like to play some of the Enhanced version, but my B' in law says (get this) it's too unstable for him on Windows 10. XD

Probably going to continue playing Lufia II via Mednafen, as well as finally making some more progress in CrossCode (damn that fire temple anyway).

So, here's what I'm doing this weekend and have been the past week:
Native:
* Always and forever - Rocket League
* Insurgency - Absolutely gripping MP, love it, but it's SO hard though and the players online so good, I rage quit every few months
* The Marble Game that recently went native (don't remember the full name now)
* Half Life 2 (believe it or not, never played it. Actually not loving it so far. It feels as old as it is. Maybe we *don't* want a HL3?)
* Interstellar Marines - Great after the updates
* X11 flight sim
Proton:
* Always and forever 2 - Angels Fall First
* Battlefield Bad Company 2: People told me it has better control balance than any of the recent Battlefields and isn't quite as runny and gunny, and I agree. Someone started a Linux user server too. Great fun.
* Some new user mods for 2005 Star Wars Battlefront II

For me, it is the opposite. I play mostly during the week and rarely on the weekend.
This week I played a lot of Total War: Three Kingdoms and the new patch for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne with Vulkan.

I've gone back to Dirt Rally - still love it. It's a great homage to rallying, with all the cars you would want in it.
I play sort of hardcore mode - locked to cockpit view, no HUD stuff, manual gears (albeit with a controller...). It's just you and your co-driver, and it's a real rush. When you hit your stride there's nothing quite like it.
Great port by Feral too. I play on old-ish hardware and it's smooth.

Started up Dying Light again recently and hopefully will be able to finish The Following expansion this time. I think the last time I played my brother and I were near the end in co-op and my hard drive hadn't crashed yet :P

Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark. Mouthful of a title, but a great turn-based strategy game.
I am currently going back and grinding the hell out of old levels, not because it's necessary (it's really not unless you're a poor strategist) and not because I like grinding (hate it actually), but just because I am not ready for the game to be over so I am delaying the final fight as long as I can.

Sweet! Glad to hear that's running. I've only ever played the two Symphonia games that came out on the Gamecube and Wii but I loved the hell out of them.

To the Moon, the game was sitting in my library since December 2016 so I think it's more than time to have a look at it! Not bad so far (about 1 hour in it), sad story with an old console era vibe for the graphics and gameplay! :|

I thought about playing Dicey Dungeons, but I ended up playing HyperRogue.

It's bound to be Bethesda programming – infinite loading times are a common problem.

Probably gonna do a last push in Path of Exile with my brother before the current league ends next week. Also been itching to play my NES again, so might have to plug that in and enjoy some classics of the 8-bit era.

I'm trying out Europa Universalis IV during the free weekend via Steam. It's been on my wishlist for ages. This is a great opportunity to demo the full version of the game.
I am also hoping to start a co-op campaign in Total War: Warhammer this weekend. I've had it a long time but have only played a few skirmishes so far.
I've been playing KotoR as my single-player RPG as of late, chipping away at it. I never played it when it was new. The more I play, the more I get into it. Typical of a good RPG, I guess.
When I don't have enough time or am too tired to jump into KotoR, I have been playing Rise to Ruins. Since that is my "easy" game to play, I end up putting the most time into it. :)

Already in my wishlist! I will try to have a look at it when my Steam backlog will be a bit less encumbered! :P
