Developed by adamgryu as a Humble Original for a Humble Monthly, A Short Hike is released outside of Humble later this Summer.

Hike, climb, and soar through the peaceful mountainside landscapes of hawk peak provincial park. Follow the marked trails or explore the backcountry as you make your way to the summit. Along the way, meet other hikers, discover hidden treasures, and take in the world around you.

The Humble Monthly version is currently only for Windows and Mac but I spoke to the developer today, who confirmed over email "Yes! There will be a Linux version.".

Features:

  • Climb up a big mountain and then fly down from the top!
  • Explore the island to find treasures and tools.
  • Enjoy the natural landscapes rendered in a lo-fi 3D aesthetic with clean flat shading.
  • Listen to the cute and relaxing soundtrack by Mark Sparling.

From what the developer said on itch page, it's quite a short game at around 1-2 hours long. So a perfect game to unwind with after a busy day perhaps?

It will release on both itch.io and Steam.

I've got the Windows build of the Humble Monthly Trove version running under Wine and it's a fun quick little game to get through.
