Comedy cosmic horror adventure, Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure, from developer Stuck In Attic now has a release date! Another game that was funded thanks to the help of people on Kickstarter, where Stuck In Attic managed to get CHF (Swiss franc) 53,862 from 1,929 backers.

Gibbous is a comedy cosmic horror game - a modern adventure that is classically inspired, features gorgeous HD art, detailed traditional animation, and a lengthy story that will see the three protagonists travel around the world and deal with abominations both cosmic and human-made, voodoo, and Things That Should Not Be. From Lovecraft Country to Transylvania, set off on a quest to get a very cynical cat to stop talking.

Linux support was a main goal on the original crowdfunding campaign and it even had a demo for Linux, so it's really great to see it nearly ready.

Looks and sounds like a lot of fun, some fantastic artwork and great audio too.

The full release will be up on GOG and Steam on August 7th.

I backed this one (even got a caricature done, which was amazing) and am really looking forward to it.

Doug Cockle (aka Geralt The Witcher) as a bad guy should be interesting.

Now whenever I hear about a game that was crowdfunded I'm scared that it will turn into an Epic Store exclusive at the last moment! I really hope this one does not fall in the same category. It looks awesome!

Another backer here. This game took so much longer to make than anticipated. Thankfully it's been a labour of love and as far as anyone can tell they poured much more time into it than the money raised justified. From the bits they've shown, I expect it to pay off, but I look forward to giving it a go for myself :)

Again, thanks to all backers!

Also backed this one. So far GOG release is listed, so it doesn't seem to be falling for Epic's exclusivity bait.
